"had alot of old debris and fencing to be removed in order to install 226' of new 6' vinyl panel fencing. all work was done in time projected by very experienced crew. Working with Bernie Macauley (landscaping) and Marc Sully (fencing) was a pleasure. And coordinating the work scheduling with Nolisha in the office made everything go smoothly. Have received so many compliments on how good the property looks with the new fencing. I could't be more satisfied with the results. Am sure I will be calling Macauley Bros in the future. "To be fully transparent, I went into this “adventure” with naive trepidation. But with Jeffrey’s guaranteed assurance on design & quality, and his professional install team, we had a fantastic 21/2day project experience from start to finish. Very pleased with putting/chipping green result. Besides adult fun, my future PGA /LPGA grandchildren love it! A favorite addition to our friend & family fun. Highly recommend Grass 365!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

To remove old grass effectively, you typically need to dig to one to two inches. This depth typically allows you to reach the root system of the grass, ensuring thorough removal. However, if the grass is a particularly dense or deep-rooted variety (such as Bermuda grass), or if you're planning to replace it with a different landscaping feature, you may need to dig deeper to loosen the soil and remove any underlying roots.

Yes, it can be good to remove dead branches from trees. Dead branches can lead to rot in other areas of the tree. They can also cause damage if they fall on a house, shed, fence, car, pool, or other structure or property. However, it’s important that dead branch removal is done safely. If the branch is high in a tree or requires a lift or ladder to access, consider calling a professional tree removal company, as they will have the experience and equipment to do the job safely.

Wood is a very versatile material, so you can either compost it, use it for firewood, turn it into wood chips, or save it for future projects. If you don’t want excess wood cluttering your garage or workspace, you can call local community centers or schools to see if they have a need for it.

Leaf removal isn’t usually necessary, and in fact, leaving leaves where they fall or mulching them instead can provide nutrients to your soil that can be good for your lawn and garden beds. Most homeowners prefer the look of a lawn that is neat and clean, though, so the majority of people prefer to pay for leaf removal. There are some cases where you might have to pay for leaf removal, like if you live in a strict homeowners association that mandates the service or a generally clean lawn.

You can dispose of a chain link fence in a handful of ways. One way to dispose of a chain link fence is to give it away to someone else. Some other options to get rid of your fence is to recycle it, scrap the metal, donate the fence to someone who needs it, or bring it to a local landfill. You may have to pay a fee to hand it over to a landfill; check with the establishment first to check on fee costs.
