"From the very first meeting with their sales associate nothing could have been more pleasant and easier. During the original sales meeting I was worried about rue turn around time for products to arrive, I was told they’d have everything as scheduled and they did. On the scheduled day of the install Sergei and his crew showed up precisely when scheduled and during the entire 2 days of their visit they were very respectful, professional and friendly, I had some questions and they were all answered. At the end of each day I walked around the exterior of the house to inspect the work performed and the general cleanliness and found nothing wrong with the work and all areas were cleaned more thoroughly than expected. 16 windows, 1 bay window and 3 exterior doors finished in just over 2 days. I will eventually hire them again for my roof and highly recommend them!"

"The first representative told me I could get $75 per window for trade in, for what I thought was 13 windows.  He then stated the picture window was counted as 1 window.   He did not explain that all windows come with half screens.  Did not learn that until windows were put in.  One of the windows was the wrong size and I had to wait 3 weeks for a new window.  When I called to inquire about full size screens I was told I had to pay $25 per screen and there was no credit given for the half screens as they are included with the windows.
The installers who came out were dressed very unprofessional and looked like homeless individuals.  They arrived in a dirty pick up truck with the windows on the back of the truck.  Did not look like licensed contractors. Confirmed with Castle they were the installers.
Once the windows where installed there were several windows with excessive caulk.  I had to bring that to the attention of the contractors.
Overall the windows look nice but I think they were overpriced and the presentation and professionalism of the installers rates a D.

"Vista installed new vinyl siding on our house and I couldn't be happier with the result. Our house looks brand new and I love the color. The communication was excellent! Every step of the project was very organized and I loved how Keith and Brian checked in every few days. The work crew was very repectful of our propery and the quality quality of work is amazing. Overall it was a refreshing, seamless experience. I would highly recommend them."

"I was amazed. We had 10 new windows replaced, and after working a 10 hour day, I was dreading going home & cleaning for the next 10 hours. But when I walked inside my home you didn't even know they were there. everything was placed back to where it belonged, there was no mess to vacuum. There also was no mess outside, my garden was not even touched. The only thing I had to do was wash the windows and hang the curtains. They were very nice & polite, professional men who installed the windows. The windows themselves are 100% perfect. We could not be happier and could kick ourselves for not doing it sooner. They gave us a date in July for Installation. They arrived in May."

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Although glass block windows are made of multiple layers of thick glass, they can still break. If an individual block shatters, it can be removed and replaced, but this is a job for a window repair professional. The project is often complex and may require breaking the block further for removal. Do not attempt to handle it yourself, as the broken glass can be dangerously sharp. A professional will have the necessary tools and expertise to replace the broken glass block quickly and safely. Before hiring, confirm that the repair pro has experience with this specific type of window.

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.

Their thickness depends on application, but most glass walls are typically 3/8 to 3/4 of an inch thick. Although it’s not as common, single panes of glass can also be 1 inch thick.

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.
