"We had an AMAZING experience with EA Masonry! We called them to ask for a quote to install a 15’ x 20’ patio in our backyard, as well as repair our damaged bulkhead. Dan and Luis were willing to come by the next day - a Saturday - at 8am (this time was convenient for us; they also offered weekday availability). They were on board with our idea from the beginning, which was refreshing because other masons pressured us to make our job bigger than we wanted. This was a problem because our house and yard are fairly small and a larger patio would have been out of proportion. When they arrived to give the estimate, they came prepared with pictures of a few styles of patio pavers so we could immediately see what options they recommended for our space and budget. Once we chose a style we liked, Dan and Luis said they’d check this year’s price of the pavers and then get back to us with an estimate. By 10am that day (again, a weekend) we had a written estimate. Once we accepted, they came back two days later to bring various colored pavers so we could see them in person next to our house. This was perfect; other masons asked us to go online to select colors, and it was harder to envision what the pavers would look like in our space from a computer screen. Because it was a small job and very early in the season, they were able to fit us in their schedule right away, and after only 2.5 days of work we had a stunning finished patio, plus cracks patched and the repairs we needed for our crumbling bulkhead. Throughout the process Dan, Luis, and Kevin were incredible - they arrived when expected, were respectful of us and our space, and kept us apprised of unexpected developments (like the fact that the walkway adjacent to our new patio was installed slightly crooked by the previous owner, so they would have to make minor adjustments to the placement of the patio so it went with the rest of the house). When they were done it looked perfect - they integrated the patio seamlessly with the rest of our house (bulkhead, existing stairs, etc.), and it looks like it's been there all along. They also re-routed the existing downspouts so that rain water didn’t pour all over our new patio, which no other mason offered to do. Working with EA Masonry surpassed all our expectations; their prices were reasonable, they were wonderful to communicate with, they genuinely listened to what we wanted (but provided great opinions when we asked), and the final outcome is way better than we could have imagined. We’ve already asked them for estimates on other projects for our property, and we can’t wait to work with them again soon!"

"It went very well. The small wall was not initially part of the plans, but they were very quick at getting us an estimate. With the addition of the wall, it cost more than we had expected, but the slope of the yard made the wall necessary to have a level patio, so the additional cost was more than worth it. "We have a large deck and a large family. We had been using two metal frame 10x10 canopies for shade over our two six foot long patio tables and 14 chairs. We had to replace them nearly every year due to wear, tear and fading etc. The frame of the canopies took up room on the deck making it difficult to move out chairs from our tables when we were having dinner on the deck. Our new awning from Dorchester Awning Company is absolutely amazing. It is 20 feet wide by 13 ft 6 inches and nearly covers our entire deck. We have so much more usable room on the deck. No more worries about taking in the canopies during heavy storms/hurricanes. We can retract the awning with a push of a button! We also purchased the wind sensor in the event the awning is out and a rogue wind whips up. The choice of fabrics is too extensive to mention. If you can't find a complimentary color it's because it doesn't exist. We scheduled our initial appointment for an estimate and John, our salesman/installer came out as promised on time. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were so impressed with the product and the service, we ordered then and there. The awning was delivered and installed within the exact time frame promised. The installers did a wonderful job. Everything was cleaned up as if they had never even been there. Mark Lampson followed up with us by phone to be sure we were happy with the product and installation. About 2-3 weeks after the installation my husband was showing a friend the awning and tried to retract it and the awning would retract a few inches and then go out again. It would not retract. Fortunately they also provide you with a hand crank for the awning in the event of power failure so we were able to retract the awning by hand. It just so happened Mark had called again the following day to check in. I told him about the problem which he suspected was a defect in the motor. Within one week our new motor was installed. Our awning works perfectly now. I would highly recommend Dorchester Awning Company. The product is excellent and the service is exemplary. We have already recommended this company to lots of our friends who have been impressed with our awning!"
