"As above, ABS Fence, Inc: They were awesome, polite, punctual and VERY NEAT!! There were delays from original date due to weather.....but showed up on their next available date as they had called several times to notify me and remind me when they were coming."
"Bert and his men did a wonderful job with my fence. They were very friendly and personable while working very hard. They cleaned after themselves and finished the job very quickly considering it rained majority of the time. I would gladly recommend Fences2U to everyone looking to do their fence. Thank you!"
"After a very successful first experience, we also asked CJ to cut down some trees and install a fence. He also now performs all yard maintenance for us. I would highly recommend CJ for all landscape needs."
"Excellent, the installer was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained what was needed to make the repair. The repairs was made and I am very satisfied with the work. I will definitely use them again."
"I have now had 4 pickups from this company. Each time it has been with different items: I have had my kitchen remodeled, a deck torn down and rebuilt, a new roof put on, old fencing disc arded, and a yard cleanup. The only difference in pricing was for the roofing and even though ti was more money it was STILL CHEAPER than a dumpster!!! I don't know how these guys do it, but they pickup on time, without issue andfor the cost quoted. I have turned each of my contractors onto them - now they are using them. SO MUCH cheaper and better service than any dumpster company I have used!"

The process was incredibly easy the office staff communicated the progress daily the entire field team was professional and courtesy. We got a 'deal of the day' to paint a certain amount of sf up to three rooms (I believe). When they got to the house, I feel that the initial discussion was unpleasant and I feel that I got treated less then professionally. We did have a disagreement - We asked if they could paint two rooms and a back hall. They said that the hall would not be included for some reason (I forget exactly) and we expressed our frustration because the entire job was much less than the total sf in the deal. (We have a tiny house). They did not dispute the sf but asserted that the hallway was not part of the deal. They were only willing to paint the two rooms. Then they offered to do the hallway at an additional charge. We said no thank you because we just didn't have the money. We left for work and when I got home, the two rooms AND the hallway were painted and they looked great. While that did make my day, the interaction with them earlier in the day was beyond what I am comfortable with. I felt manipulated and I felt like they were behaving in an unprofessional manner (despite possibly being right). That may sound ungrateful. They did end up doing the entire job. But at the end of the day, I bought into Angie's List so that I wouldn't have to deal with stuff like that. It was unpleasant and I would not hire then ever again.

The best vinyl fence style for your yard depends on your needs, form and function-wise. For example, a classic vinyl picket fence in your front yard helps contain kids and canines while offering views of your neighborhood. But a more expensive privacy fence creates a secluded backyard oasis for family gatherings. Opt for a ranch-like post and rail vinyl fence if you want to carry on your rustic farmhouse vibes.
Hedges are a better financial investment for a home than fences in several ways. First, hedges are less expensive to install than fences. Fence installation costs$1,775 to $4,600, depending on the type and size. You can also choose to plant smaller and less expensive hedges, knowing that it will take longer for them to mature. Next, mature hedges add resale value to the home, meaning the cost savings get even better when it's time to sell.
The ideal distance between fence posts depends on several factors, including the terrain, the purpose of the fence, and the material used. For different types of fences, here are some general guidelines:
Wood and Metal Fences: Posts should be spaced between 5 and 8 feet apart.
Vinyl Fences: Spacing can be between 6 and 8 feet.
Chain-Link, Mesh, or Lattice Fences: Posts can be set anywhere from 4 to 25 feet apart, with 4-10 feet being common for chain-link.
Wire Fences: Spacing can be up to 12 feet apart.
You can use a few different tactics to prevent your deck gate from sagging. Aside from using strong, rot-resistant woods, introducing a diagonal element—such as a tension rod or solid piece of wood to act as a brace—across the gate will offer better support. You can also use rigid joists to prevent the gate from sagging.
Yes, installing a picket fence is a manageable DIY project for homeowners with basic tools and some patience. The process involves marking the fence line, digging post holes, setting the posts, and attaching horizontal rails and pickets. However, precision is key to ensure the fence is straight and sturdy, which can be challenging for beginners. If the fence line is long, the ground is uneven, or you’re working with more complex materials like metal or composite, hiring a pro may be a better option.
