"I have done a lot of research into soundproofing and had a quite a few contractors stop by for an evaluation and a quote over the past couple years, and Robert stood out with his friendly demeanor, level of knowledge, and being easy to talk to; he seemed to have good experience in soundproofing and actually knew soundproofing concepts I'd read up on earlier (surprisingly many other drywall contractors were either evasive in rating their confidence in their proposed projects or simply did not have good plans or knowledge of options). He worked with me on a plan to redo a wall separating my bedroom from noisy neighbors, and the result is excellent! Robert and his team have turned a single stud wall into a decoupled double stud wall, with all the right elements for soundproofing, such as quality insulation, acoustic caulk and dampening compound (both by Green Glue), socket putty, etc. Robert's choice of materials was well informed, and the quality of his work was very good, neat, and precise. I could tell he enjoys doing his work well. He cleaned up after the job was done, and the new wall was perfectly plastered--all I had left to do was to paint (which I enjoy doing myself). The total expense was very reasonable for the cost of materials and labor. I also appreciated that Robert always kept me up-to-date on his schedule and coordinated his visits--great communication. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the experience and glad that I found Robert and his team! I can heartily recommend his services for your drywall and related projects! I'd like to also note for general reference that soundproofing is a global project: learn the weak areas where the sound travels--it's frequently not just your walls, but also through your floors and through your ceilings, including from neighbors on the same floor as you! You may think that just fixing one area will solve everything, but sound wave propagation needs to be considered from all directions/sources, and week areas need to be identified: e.g. you may need to redo your wall and your floor, for example, or your wall and your ceiling, or all 3 at once, depending on your exact needs and situation."

"I hired P&J for a list of small tasks. He replaced two light fixtures, replaced the vent in my bathroom, fixed a ceiling fan, built a closet and installed a railing, I enjoyed a super positive experience. Jose was punctual, knowledgeable, courteous and cleaned up upon project completion. I was thoroughly impressed and have hired him for my bathroom remodel. I highly recommend him."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

If your Danvers home was built before 1980, has original windows or siding, or shows signs of foundation settling or ice dam damage, it’s likely a strong candidate for handyman service projects. Seasonal inspections—especially after winter—can reveal issues like peeling paint, drafty windows, or outdated fixtures. Noticing higher energy bills or visible wear means it’s time to schedule a professional handyman assessment in Danvers.

Helpful?

Completing handyman service projects in Danvers offers immediate benefits like safeguarding your property value, boosting energy efficiency, and preparing your home for unpredictable New England weather. Over time, these projects can increase home appreciation, lower the risk of insurance claims, and help preserve the historic charm found in many Danvers neighborhoods. Regular maintenance also supports faster home sales and helps prevent unexpected, costly repairs during severe winters.

Helpful?

When hiring for handyman service projects in Danvers, prioritize pros with proper insurance, strong local references, and experience with the area’s building codes. Be aware of seasonal demand shifts, especially during harsh winters. Watch for red flags like unusually low estimates or upfront payment requests. Confirm the pro’s familiarity with Danvers’ older homes and their ability to address unique maintenance challenges in the region.

Helpful?

In Danvers, most small handyman service projects—like faucet repairs or drywall patching—typically take between 1 and 4 hours to complete. Medium projects, such as interior painting or floor repairs, often require 1 to 3 days. For larger handyman service projects in Danvers, like kitchen remodels or major deck repairs, expect timelines of 1 to 2 weeks, especially during winter when weather can extend completion by up to 20%.

Helpful?

Danvers homeowners should keep a toolkit with essentials like a hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, and a cordless drill, plus a sturdy ladder for reaching gutters and rooflines common in local homes. Stock up on weatherstripping, caulk, and pipe insulation to manage MA’s temperature swings. For winter, have rock salt, snow shovels, and dehumidifiers ready. Emergency plumbing tape and electrical testers are also helpful for quick fixes in Danvers.
