Small jobs welcome

"Tim was prompt and knowledgeable but a bit pricey because, what we had replaced, was work done sixteen months ago. I am always surprised at how expensive plumbing jobs can be!"

Customers say: Quick response

"After interviewing several contractors, I decided to hire John Carenzo. I had severe water damage to an outdated bathroom . The water was leaking into a downstairs room and the flooring and drywall were rotted out as a result. John agreed to take on this challenging job. He turned my bathroom from a disaster into a beautiful space. He was extremely professional, cleaned up each day, and his rate was beyond reasonable in comparison to other contractors interviewed. He did not try to nickel and dime me and would not take final payment until we looked at the final result of the fantastic transformation together looking over each detail. He replaced sub flooring and installed porcelain tile through, replaced damaged drywall, removed popcorn ceiling to a smooth surface, replaced vanity and vanity fixtures, installed new light fixtures, painted entire room and even hung my new towel rack He completed this in one week as promised. I already have talked to John about future projects I'm planning in the spring. I consider John my go to contractor for any jobs big or small in the future. There is no need to look any further."

"On time arrival, quality product, excellent installation ... and Ben stands behind his work! When the new heater revealed a factory flaw he returned immediately to replace the defective part, no questions asked. He also replaced a burnt out sump pump and did it quickly and at a fair price."

"I contacted 14 contractors over the course of 2 and 1/2 years to replace and paint exterior trim that was causing leaking into our unit and the unit below. No one else would take the job due to the degree of difficulty. They had to do the work on the back of the building using 60 foot ladder and 50 foot on the front of the building in frigid weather during late December and early January. It was not cheap, but reasonable due to the conditions to take on the job. They not only replaced and painted all trim where necessary, but prepped and painted all the trim on the back of the building and some extra on the front at no extra charge. Very pleased."

"Gisele and her team do an amazing job cleaning! We had them do a deep cleaning and now they come every other week. Truly our house has never been this clean. We first met Gisele and Almir when they did a proposal for replacing our back deck a couple of years ago--they were great to work with, they had the best price, and Almir and his crew did a wonderful job. Communication with Gisele is really easy and she is very responsive."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

You should consider replacing your bathtub if the tub—or any potential refinishing—is older than about 20 years old. However, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs have a shorter lifespan (about 10 to 15 years). You may decide to replace your bathtub sooner if there are stains or mold you can’t get rid of, no matter how much you clean it, or if you find leaks and cracks that could lead to costly water damage.

If your tub is attached to the wall, the best material will be one that can be shaped to fit your space perfectly. A cast-polymer, acrylic, or fiberglass tub will likely be the easiest to install as a built-in because it can be designed to fit your space.

Ensures correct plumbing connections and secure installation to prevent future water damage.

The average cost to convert a tub to a shower is around $3,000, but prices can range from $1,000 to as high as $15,000. A more typical range is between $1,200 and $8,000. The final cost depends on several factors, including the amount of plumbing work required, the size of the shower, and the type of materials and fixtures chosen. A prefabricated shower stall is a more budget-friendly option, while a custom shower with features like luxury tiles, unique tiling, smart technology, or accessibility features will be at the higher end of the cost spectrum.

Roman tubs are very different from ordinary tubs. A Roman tub is typically deeper and broader than a traditional tub, and it's often installed on a custom platform with the faucet positioned on the deck rather than on the wall. Ordinary tubs are more shallow and usually feature built-in shower options
