Johnny and Danny took our fixer-upper and made it look like a million bucks. They remodeled about half of our house, and boy was it a piece of work -- a basement demolished from water damage, broken bathroom (broken shower, cracked sink), and 3 rooms with dented drywall, paint peeling, old popcorn ceiling, you name it. They transformed it into a beautiful home. I LOVE the bathroom they built for us -- it is a showpiece. Beautiful tile work, great suggestions on fixtures. Our bedrooms and living room look brand new. We were doing this within a budget and I can't believe they made it work. Awesome guys too, we miss having them around. Great communication and were always attentive to our budget. Couldn't have asked for better work.

John and Danny were absolutely outstanding. We had been trying to get people to come out to repair our upstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom after a roof leak for literally years. People would give us estimates and string us along, and even jack up their price later. We are so fortunate to have found John. He was friendly from the start, and I can't emphasize how good his communication and customer service was. They gave us an extremely fair price, showed up on time, were pleasant and communicative throughout, gave us lots of options, did a great job and went out of the way to make sure we were happy with their work. If we have any other repairs or remodeling jobs, they're going to be the first ones we call.

Another great job just completed by John and Danny! We are return customers and this time our project involved a renovation of our TV room, including a refurbishing of our brick fireplace, laying of new flooring and a complete repainting. As is often the case with Carenzo R & R, the job came in on time and under budget and it looks fabulous. John is our go-to for home projects and we never even consider anyone else. Iâ m already planning our next project!

Very pleased with the work John and his foreman Dan did. Nothing better than freshly painted rooms by two professionals to liven up a home. John painted my fireplace, doors and dark woodwork as well. Lots of cutting in and trim work. I was having difficulty hiring a plumber to fix a broken sink faucet. John made a call and a plumber friend arrived that day. They were on time and did a fantastic job cleaning up every day. They even had to contend with a rude neighbor but took it in stride. Love the end result. Highly recommended.

I had 2 bathrooms that needed total rebuilding after serious water damage. It was a very challenging job since the house is over 200 years old and nothing was plumb or level, but Johnny and his crew were more than up for the remodel! Not only did he complete it within the cost and time estimates, but the workmanship is first rate! I plan on calling him for other projects in the future, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing any kind of remodeling work done for a very reasonable price and excellent results.

We enjoyed working with John and his crew. John has a good eye for assessing what needs to be done. He presented us with a reasonable estimate and a time line which he followed. He informed us of his progress on a daily basis and always checked in with us to make sure that he was doing everything according to the way we wanted it. His prices were reasonable, yet he used good quality materials, and his workmanship is excellent. By the time the deck had been repaired, sanded, and refinished, it looked better than it ever had before! The renovation of our 1950's bathroom has been completed and it is a piece of art. The entire project was handled by Johnny C. with excellence. Johnny was easy to work with and shared his expertise and knowledge to help us with the process. Some of our design choices did pose a challenge for him but he executed those trouble spots expertly. This renovation had a huge tile component and he did a beautiful job with the wall and floor tile we chose. We now have a really stunning bathroom that is in keeping with the vintage age of the home. From our initial meeting we were comfortable with what he offered: a really fair price, a couple of consultations prior to the work beginning which helped us select our materials and very responsive to our questions throughout the process. Each day Johnny and his assistant, Danny, arrived on time. At the end of each day, Danny did an excellent job of cleaning up the work area and leaving things in the best possible condition. Johnny is very conscientious about returning the home to the owners so things can remain as normal as possible through the process. We recommend Johnny highly for his excellent workmanship, his friendly personality, his more than fair price and the easy manner of communication.

We have a Custom Ranch Home vintage 1956. The three Bathrooms were original to the home and desperately in need of updating. Johnny Carenzo and his team performed expert and extremely high quality workmanship. We are so very pleased with the manner in which they conducted themselves. Johnny and his crew did a great job. Did the work I wanted, gave me great advice, didn't try to sell me on anything above what I wanted, stayed within my budget, and the final product was as good as I had hoped it would be. Johnny Carrenzo does top-notch work. He did two bathrooms for us. One was complex. He removed a bathtub and replaced it with a floor-to-ceiling shower. He turned our 1969 bathrooms into modern and sleek bathrooms. He gave excellent design advice and even met me at Home Depot to select materials. On top of his excellent work, he was finished on the exact day that he said he would be. He showed up every morning like clock-work. He kept his work area clean. And most importantly, he was easily reached when we had questions - he always responded to texts and phone calls. We will hire him again, no doubt.

Johnny Carenzo tiled 2 showers and a floor in our bathrooms, and painted the walls to match. One bathroom required removing old tiles that surrounded the entire room, reducing the length of a baseboard heater, and carefully working around an existing vanity with a custom Ashfield Stone top. It all looks fantastic, and it was done on time and on budget! His intelligent suggestions and comments were of great help, and he was a pleasure to work with.

Johnny did a beautiful job with a tricky bathroom remodel. We needed to replace a leaking bathtub, but his rates to remodel and paint the whole bathroom were so reasonable that we hired him to do the whole thing. He and his team were hard-working, showing careful attention to detail. Johnny completed the job quickly, and he even helped us return unused materials for a refund. We are so pleased with the finished bathroom, and we highly recommend Johnny.

Johnny replaced an exterior entry door to my garage. The workmanship was excellent and so was the service. The bill was within the range he estimated for me. He was pleasant to work with and was quick to respond to my messages. He will be the first person I call next time I have work to be done in my home.

After interviewing several contractors, I decided to hire John Carenzo. I had severe water damage to an outdated bathroom . The water was leaking into a downstairs room and the flooring and drywall were rotted out as a result. John agreed to take on this challenging job. He turned my bathroom from a disaster into a beautiful space. He was extremely professional, cleaned up each day, and his rate was beyond reasonable in comparison to other contractors interviewed. He did not try to nickel and dime me and would not take final payment until we looked at the final result of the fantastic transformation together looking over each detail. He replaced sub flooring and installed porcelain tile through, replaced damaged drywall, removed popcorn ceiling to a smooth surface, replaced vanity and vanity fixtures, installed new light fixtures, painted entire room and even hung my new towel rack He completed this in one week as promised. I already have talked to John about future projects I'm planning in the spring. I consider John my go to contractor for any jobs big or small in the future. There is no need to look any further.

I have hired John for several projects, most recently to paint the exterior of several sides of my house. He is easy to work with, reliable, affordable and takes pride in the quality of his work. This was the best experience I have ever had having someone work on my house. I hired John to do some plaster repair on 100 year-old walls, skim coat a ceiling, install some crown molding, and paint walls and door trim. It was a big job because the walls and trip were in pretty bad shape. The price we agreed on was reasonable for the amount of work, the plan was for John to work from around 8am to 3pm, and he thought it would take about two weeks. John was there everyday at the exact time he promised, he and his really nice nephew worked no later than 3pm on most days, and they cleaned up after each day of work. They ended up finishing a day or two early and the work they did is fantastic. On the last day, John walked through the house with me to make sure I was happy with the work and it was obvious that he wasn't going to leave until I was completely satisfied. Having work done in the house is usually a major disruption to life, but this was not at all. John's work ethic is fantastic and he is a really nice guy.

We had water damage to several rooms in our house due to an old leaky slate roof that has since been replaced. Most of the damage was to the ceilings in 4 rooms on the second floor but one room also had severe damage to a wall. We contacted a contractor who came to the house but would not give an estimate because he felt the work was more than he wanted to take on. We did not know of any other contractors so we took a chance with Home Advisor and found John Carenzo listed for our area. After contacting John he promptly came to our home and provided an estimate for the work that needed to be done to fix the damage. He did an excellent job with repairing the damaged ceilings, removed the popcorn texture, replaced insulation and wallboard, and painted the ceilings and walls. Though not part of the original project, we also decided to change the kitchen cabinet layout and install a new wood floor in one of the rooms. John was pressed for time but did fit this additional work in and did an excellent job installing some new cabinets, countertop and wood floor. In terms of contracting with John again, we absolutely would not hesitate to hire him; in fact, he will be returning soon to put in a new backsplash for us. We highly recommend John to anyone who is looking for a contractor who does excellent work and goes above and beyond to make the customer happy.

John Carenzo did an excellent job with drywall installation and painting. The work was done beautifully, efficiently and cost effectively. Mold from water was treated, wood structures replaced where needed and insulation re applied. In addition, a pop corn ceiling was smoothed and painted. Upon completion of the job, a thorough clean-up was to follow. I would highly recommend John Carenzo for a variety of job's around a home. He was a pleasure to work with!

My experience with John was excellent from start to finish, great communication, prompt response time from initial contact to project completion. John replaced an old rear entry "deck" and a cellar window at a very reasonable price in a very timely manner. Will more than likely hire again and highly recommend him.

John and Vaughn, the carpenter who works with him, undertook to repair the corner of my house where there was structural damage due to water damage and rot. The sill plate, several joists, parts of the plywood sheathing and siding needed to be replaced. They undertook the work immediately and once started, worked every day until it was done. The quality of the work was excellent and they explained what they were doing and why. The price was very reasonable for the work and the time they put in, and they also worked with the insurance adjuster, explaining exactly the extent of work that needed to be done along with price estimates (they suggested that the work might be covered by my homeowner's policy). I would and will hire John again if I have work that needs to be done on my house.

john and vaughn got more then they bargained for when installing my new door as they had to replace some of the structure under my porch its an old house so it was tough going but they did what needed to be done and also keeped the added cost reasonable.

John took on a challenging job for us and we couldn't be happier with what he was able to do for us. His price was very fair, he communicated well, showed up on time without fail, found solutions to problems, and respected our budget. We've been renovating our house for years and I've worked with a lot of people but I can think of only a few that can be compared to John's caliber. He provided his services with a high degree of professionalism, he relieved me of my worries, and I will be hiring him again!
