"I called Horizon after moving into a new home in Medway and having no idea what condition the chimney was in. They sent a team out the same day! The guys were great - very friendly and professional. They looked everything over, informed us that one chimney needed to be cleaned but the other did not, and some of the brick work was loose on the fireplace floor. I also requested a chimney cap and they suggested strengthening part of the chimney before installing. They provided an estimate within 24 hours and came out about a week later to do the work. Again, they were completely professional, pleasant and somehow despite cleaning the chimney and doing masonry work, did not create any dust or mess in the house. I was so pleased that I asked them to put us on a yearly schedule for routine cleaning. I highly recommend!"

"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. I contacted several companies and got estimates for the work, which included removing the rusted damper and replacing the chimney cap with a new stainless steel cap. 5 Star had the best price by far, and had a lot of experience doing this work. The gentleman who came out and gave me the estimate was very nice and very knowledgeable, answering all my questions. Scheduling the work was easy and they were able to accommodate my work schedule. The work was done this morning. They were very clean, showed me how to use the new chimney cap, and even cleaned out the chimney. They were in and out in less than an hour and the price was as estimated."

"My chimney was not in good condition. The sun was shining through between the bricks, not up to code and no cap in place. Gordy repointed the entire chimney, extended the flue to bring it up to code, installed a cap and swept/cleaned it. Gordy is a very nice guy and did good work for a reasonable price. "I selected Bob's Magic Broom based on feedback from Angie's List. Last month, when my furnace was serviced, the serviceman noted that chimney was not drawing as it should and recommended a cleaning. I checked my records and the last cleaning was in 2000. We have two flues - one for the furnace and one for a fireplace which is almost never used. The sweep (Joe) checked and fireplace and agreed it did not need cleaning, but the furnace flue was very bad and almost blocked. The cleaning took about an hour from beginning to end. The sweep cleaned up. I had no mess at all. I asked Joe how often I should have the chimney cleaned and he said about every other year. What I appreciated was that the service was prompt, courteous, and no hard upsell. I would definitely use Bob's Magic Broom again and highly recommend them to all."
