"Signed contract on May 8 for deck build.On May 12 rep came to my office to collect deposit of apprx $13,000. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."

"I have worked with Meadows construction in the past on a new 2 level deck and was very impressed with their workmanship and the crew. They are VERY hard workers. We needed a very large addition and kitchen/living area added and their work is great. We had a couple of issues come up because of the work an outside architect had done but Mike and I worked it out. His foreman is spot on and his crew are just wonderful to work with. He and his foreman were always a phone call away as I was away during construction. They had solutions when we had questions and followed through on them. On a project this large there are always bound to be things that come up but we always managed to come up with solutions. Mike, Brian, Otti and the rest of the crew, we thank you for making our plans come to fruition and doing a great job. He promised to be done in April and he came through on that promise.
