"It went very smoothly from first contact through job execution. Some neighbors had recommended them as a previous contractor never did the fencing job he had promised. In the end, they were less costly and did a fantastic job."

"Considering our fence was ordered and installed during 2021 when everything under the sun was delayed because of Covid, we are very happy with our end result. Our yard looks amazing with our fence around it."

Small jobs welcome

"Aurelio and his AML team were wonderful to work with. Their hard work, attention to detail and effort to accommodate all of our needs was greatly appreciated. They completed 8 projects: installed a new 18’ x 24’ patio with fire pit, replaced old steps with a beautiful new deck, replaced rotted siding with new siding, replaced garage roof, built a pergola with a swing, planted a Zen garden around the swing, built a 8’ x 60’ bocce court, built six 8’ x 4’ cedar raised garden beds and a beautiful fence to protect the garden. In addition, they did a complete yard clean up and installed mulched beds, cobble stone edging and pea stone paths. All this was accomplished in 13 days by a team of four that worked non-stop!! I wish I could publish before and after pictures because that is the only way to show the amazing transformation of our property. The quality of their carpentry was also top notch. Very highly recommended!!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

After finishing a fencing project in Beverly, inspect your fence annually for salt buildup and wind damage, especially after coastal storms. Reapply weatherproof stain or sealant every two to three years to guard against humidity and salt air. Keep drainage areas and fence lines clear of debris, trim back fast-growing plants, and check gate hardware for corrosion. Before winter, add protective treatments to help your fence withstand harsh New England weather.

Helpful?

In a typical Beverly home, fencing addresses privacy concerns in closely built neighborhoods and helps define property boundaries. It provides a windbreak for gardens, keeps pets secure, and protects landscaping from local wildlife and salt spray. Fencing also reduces noise from busy streets and ensures pool safety, meeting Massachusetts requirements for secure outdoor spaces, all while complementing the area’s historic charm.

Helpful?

In Beverly, frequent fencing mistakes include failing to confirm property boundaries, which can spark neighbor disputes, and overlooking the need for permits on taller fences. Many residents choose materials that don’t withstand coastal salt air, leading to premature wear. Ignoring historic district restrictions on fence style and height, or using improper post-setting methods for local soils, can result in costly corrections or even forced removal.

Helpful?

The specific features of your Beverly property—such as proximity to the ocean, sloped yards, and mature landscaping—directly impact fencing choices. For example, homes near the coast benefit from rust-resistant materials and reinforced posts for wind. Rocky or sandy soils require tailored post installation, while established gardens or old trees may need custom fence layouts. Drainage patterns and underground utilities also influence placement and construction methods.

Helpful?

Fencing projects in Beverly often become more complex due to historic district guidelines, proximity to wetlands, and strict coastal setback rules. Older neighborhoods may have dense underground utilities that require careful planning. Steep slopes and mature trees demand specialized installation techniques, while close property lines mean coordinating with neighbors. In certain areas, maintaining the historic character of the community adds extra design and material considerations.
