The two floor installers arrived on time, they were very polite, stayed on task and did an EXCELLENT job!!  Their attention to detail is commendable.  They cut everything to fit perfectly to the molding and around pipes. Their fine workmanship came through in everything they did; it really showed how much they cared about the job they were doing. They cleaned up as they went and again at the end! The floor came out beautiful! First Class work!  I don't even know their names, but THANK YOU, again!!! I would definitely recommend Abdinoor's Carpet Craft

"Richard is awesome. He offered me a low costs to fit my budget on my basement carpet installation. I also asked him to replace the floor in the laundry room. Both basement and laundry room floors came out so good. Richard works days and nights to get things done. I was looking to find a contractor Saturday morning and he came to finish the project on Monday. I can’t thank him enough to make it happen so quickly. I would highly recommend him to anyone."

"Alex and his team did a complete deck replacement. They did a very good job on this project. After removal of the old deck wood, it was determined that further reinforcement would be needed in order to do this job properly. Therefore, original estimate had to be adjusted quite a bit, to account for the extra labor needed to perform the reinforcement. Alex and his team completed the job in about three weeks, with most of the days in cold weather. Several payments were provided throughout the project and there were no hidden costs, they were very upfront in terms of what needed to be done, and were transparent throughout the process. Alex and his team also added, without additional labor cost, repair work for a side door deck, which involved replacement of about 8 boards. All in all, pleased with the work completed, very professional, and both decks look very good. Would use them again for future projects."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

The best way to fix carpet matting is to start by vacuuming thoroughly in multiple directions to lift the flattened fibers. For more stubborn spots, apply moisture with an ice cube or steam, then fluff the carpet using a spoon, comb, or carpet brush. A blow dryer or warm iron over a damp towel can also help restore the carpet’s texture. For deep or widespread matting, a professional cleaning is your best bet to fluff your carpet back up to its former glory.

Patching your carpet in damaged areas or using an industry-grade cleaner on urine spots can help remove stains and scents from your carpet. If odors linger, leave baking soda on the area overnight (dry), then vacuum it up in the morning.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

You can get away with stretching the carpet with some remaining items of furniture, so long as you have ready access to the parts of the carpet that require maintenance and you are not stretching through the furniture, as this leads to tears and fraying. Try to remove at least 50% of the furniture if you can’t remove it all.

Carpet tiles are less expensive than traditional carpet. The average cost of carpet installation is $1,800, or $3 to $11 per square foot. In comparison, carpet tiles cost $2.50 to $11 apiece and can often be bought in bulk cartons. Since you can more easily DIY carpet tiles, you may be able to save on installation costs, too.
