"Alessandro was very responsive, polite and professional throughout the experience. He responded to all of our inquiries very quickly. He listened to our explanation of our needs (renovation of a room damaged from ice dams last winter) and our desired timeframe, and was able to meet all of our needs. With the holidays coming, we needed to have this room gutted and rebuilt quickly. Alessandro's men were onsite for 5 days in a row to get the job done. The first day they did demolition - removed wall-to-wall carpeting, pulled off all trim, and removed old (1970s) paneling. The next day they returned and installed a new window, insulation around the room, and drywall. In the remaining days they plastered, patched, sanded, and painted all the walls. They painted and installed all new trim. Separate from this work, we had removed a skylight that used to be in that room. Alessandro's men put new blueboard over that portion of the ceiling (which is separate from the main part of the room), plastered and painted the entire ceiling. They were even able to match the old swirl texture of the main part of the ceiling. All of the workers were pleasant and professional. They were very responsive to our questions and requests and clearly worked hard to accommodate us. The finished job is wonderful. Although Alessandro wasn't onsite during the work, he called us frequently throughout the project to check in. He stopped by one day to check progress and noticed that the new shingles on the outside of the house (where we had repaired due to the winter storms) hadn't been painted yet. He offered to include that as part of this project for a small additional fee.

We're very pleased with the work that they did for us. We've had bad experiences with contractors in the past - not showing up to work, or taking twice as long to do a project as they've promised - but United was completely different. Alessandro promised us that he'd change our minds about contractors, and he did!"

"Bob Milliard and his brother were at the house a couple of hours, during which they cleaned and resealed three leaking Velux skylights, fixed misapplied flashing, and repaired several places where the roofing needed attention. They were conscientious, helpful and repaired an additional disconnected gutter at no additional cost. Their work has apparently solved the leaks, which have not reappeared after numerous rains since they were here."

"I purchased a so-called "deal" for $199 for" 2 Hours of Roof Maintenance AND Energy Audit." The fellow who came out was only interested in selling me insulation for the walls, whereas I made clear that my main interest was in roof maintenance and getting his expertise on why an essentially new roof had a couple of small leaks; I had hoped he might either be able to repair them or suggest what the underlying cause(s) might be. He spent a few minutes on one part of the roof, put some caulk around a leaking skylight, and said he would have the appropriate division of his company call me. He did not address the other leak. He was not knowledgeable about roofs, and the only call I got from the company was asking if I wanted to set up an appointment to insulate the walls of my older house. This turned out not to be a "deal" at all; the guy they sent was nice enough and had a helpful attitude, but in the end did not really listen to me (or his associates did not hear it if he conveyed what I wanted). He was clearly sent to make a sale on insulation. While I did consider insulating a few of the outer walls based on his pitch, in the end it was too expensive and I was not impressed with his/the company's lack of serious consideration of the roof issues I was having."
