He had great recommendations for some options we were evaluating on how to deal with a set of railings dividing the entry way from the living room as well as on the stairway. He advised painting the spindles only from his extensive experience with other painting projects, and doing a coat of poly on the handrails instead for a better grip texture, and the result was excellent.
