Ray was great to work with. He showed up to give me an estimate beforehand as well. He was on time and did extra work for me. I have referred him to others. I felt the prices were reasonable.

Overall it was a good experience. The owner was there everyday doing the work. He was friendly and professional. And he did a good job.

Mr. Gonzalez came out Friday and gave me an estimate. Monday he had people come by and check for underground utility lines and Tuesday they tore down my old fence. They had my new fence and my new big gate in by Friday. I am very pleased with their work and will be using them next spring on another project. Mr. Gonzalez listened to what I wanted for a driveway gate and did it exactly to my needs. He welded a solidly built metal gate with cedar fencing and it looks great. Very, very happy. Plus it all took place in one wee

They were quick and their estimate seemed fair. They did a wonderful job on the fence. I would absolutely use them again in the future if I need to.

Arnul and his team were great. Setting up the appointment was a breeze, and I really appreciated the scheduler's professionalism and great personality. Arnul came on time and evaluated my property. He explained in detail what he would do, when he would do it, and what materials he would use to complete the project. He was kind and just pretty awesome. I don't know if their prices are higher than others, but after the initial free consultation, I was ready to hire them. I paid half of the fee when the start services and the other half when service was completed. I have no complaints, and I'll use them again in the future whenever I have another fencing need

My mom needed her back wooden fence replaced. Mr Gonzalez came out for the quote on Friday (07/10/2015), and his price was very reasonable, so my mom decided on his services. On (07/13/15), Mr. Gonzalez and his crew came out, put down some aluminum posts (to hold the fence in place), and yesterday (07/14/15)...they came back, and assembled a beautiful back fence. I have to add, that these past two days have been extremely hot - but yet still, the job was done quickly and efficiently. Mr. Gonzalez was so nice, and gracious to my mom (who has had a hard time finding folks to do quality repair work for her, since my Dad passed away). He advised us that he does windows, burgular bars..other things besides just fences. We made sure to let him know, that we will definitely call him again if we need anything else done that his company does. And, I had to write this review as soon as possible, just to let people know that all these positive reviews should lead you to use Gonzalez Fence and Iron for your fencing needs

I can not give his company enough kudos. Great job Arnul! I would rate Gonzales Fencing and Iron an A+ if this site would allow it. I will refer anyone else to his company without hesitation!

Arnul made an appointment for the following day after I called. He was prompt, courteous, and very professional. He prepared 2 quotes, depending on the amount of work that I wanted done. In one case, I wanted a privacy fence to replace the one that was already there. He also quoted a price for installing a partial chain link fence as I requested. I have not yet made a decision regarding which option I want and what vendor I will hire. I am sure he would do a very good job either way

They did a good job, Very professional and curtious. They did all they promised to do. The ownerl left some concrete they were suppose to hall off but that was the only negative thing. I would recommend their company.

Arnul, the local rep, jumped on this small job quickly. The fence is absolutely perfectly straight and level. Could not ask for better response and quality.

Fencing FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to install a fence?

Answer: The average cost to install a fence is $2,600. A variety of factors will impact the overall cost of fencing installation, such as the length of the fence, the materials you choose, and local labor costs. Fencing projects using the lowest cost materials and with lower labor costs can cost as little as $1 to $6 per linear foot, while projects using the highest cost materials and with higher labor costs may be as high as $15 to $45.

  2. Do I need a permit to build a fence around a yard?

Answer: Whether you’ll need a permit to build a fence around your yard will depend on your city or county's local codes. Many metropolitan and suburban areas require a permit to install most fencing, but they may not for fences situated behind a house as opposed to in front of it or fences that don’t run within a certain distance of the road. To find out if you’ll need a permit to fence your yard, reach out directly to your local government office.

  3. What is the cheapest fence to install?

Answer: The cheapest fencing to install is chain-link fencing. Chain-link fencing is typically cheaper than other fence types because the materials cost less, and installation is generally quicker and easier than other options. Chain-link fencing is affordable, easy to install, and low maintenance. However, it’s usually considered less secure than other options and doesn’t increase resale value as much as fences made of different materials.

  4. Is a wood or vinyl fence cheaper?

Answer: Wood fences are generally cheaper than the cost of vinyl fences. While the cost of materials for wood and vinyl fences is usually very similar, the labor cost associated with installing a vinyl fence is higher. Wood fencing is also easier to install than vinyl fencing, making it possible to save money by making wood fence installation a DIY project. It’s also possible to DIY install a vinyl fence.

  5. What is the life expectancy of a vinyl fence?

Answer: Vinyl fencing can be expected to last between 10 and 30 years. Vinyl fencing is generally low maintenance, but proper care will ensure it lasts as long as possible. Its long life span and high return on investment make vinyl fencing a popular option for many homeowners.

  6. What type of fence adds to the property value?

Answer: Installing quality fencing, no matter the fence type, will generally add value to your property. In general, fences made of longer-lasting, lower-maintenance, and more attractive materials—like wrought-iron, composite, or vinyl—add more value to a property than fences made of lower-cost or less attractive materials, like chain-link. To ensure your fencing adds as much value to your home as possible, be sure it’s properly permitted, approved by your homeowners association (if you have one), and installed properly.
