Customers say: Quick response

"The Stafford brothers do top quality work for a reasonable price. They show up when they say they will and they work with precision. You will not have to worry about the quality of work if you hire these guys. They added 300 ft2 on to my home with a kitchen. It was a pretty major project for me. My wife and I are very pleased with these guys. They helped me out a lot and made the process easy. The Staffordâ s actually do all the carpentry work on the project. Most companies you will call will subcontract out the entire project and charge you a 15% fee on top. If your looking for top quality without getting gouged call these guys."

"From start to finish it was a great experience. I have had some mishaps in the past with other contractors and this was the best experience so far. Very honest, punctual and neat. The finish work is beautiful and I can’t ask for anything better than what I received. I would recommend them to anyone!!! 5 Stars"

"The drywall was fair, a lot of the electrical outlet where not cut out to fix the outlets themselves, so I had to buy over-sized face-plates in order to cover up the mistakes, the doors and trim for the most part came of pretty good, some of the painting on the doors needed to be redone, because the paint was sprayed on unevenly, the hanging of the doors and trim work was pretty good. the installation of the tub and shower, was not done very well, some of the lines did not match up, and the shower head kept dripping when toggling between the bathtub and the shower itself, and he did not come back to finish up the drywall around the bath and tub insert, or the baseboard trim work, which he said he would do. I really liked Ryan as a person, and I thought that he would be a man of his word, so I made the mistake of paying him in full for the unfinished work, because I thought that he could be trusted, to do what he said he would, however I had to find out the hard way, that this was not the case. after leaving him several text messages, asking him when he would be coming back to finish the work that had been paid for, I got no responses from him. so I have to hire someone else to finish up what I had already paid for. I really hate writing anything negative about anyone, because I know that this is their profession and livelihood, However I have to be honest, so that no one else would have to go through the same thing that I did."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

It can take anywhere from a few days to several months to draw up architectural plans, depending on the complexity of your project. Architectural plans are highly detailed documents that take time to complete, and any changes or alterations can significantly extend how long they take.

How long it takes to build an in-law suite will vary by type. The time it takes to build an addition will typically be less than for completely new construction. Expect to spend about two months if you convert a basement, attic, or other existing room in your home. New structures can take up to five months, plus up to two months to receive the required permits.

Check reviews, compare quotes, and verify licensing. Ensure the builder has experience with modular construction.

Mid-century modern architecture was a popular home style throughout the U.S. from the 1950s to 1970s. Most homes feature a wide and symmetrical floor plan with low-sloped roofs and floor-to-ceiling windows. Its minimalism and balanced appearance are back on the home style scene, particularly when maximizing sunlight, airflow, and a blend with the home's natural surroundings.

Costs depend on project complexity, software requirements, and the draftsperson’s experience.
