"We really appreciate how organized Cole and project manager Devin are. They organized the subcontractors easily and were always just phone call away. They always came to check on the quality of work and addressed any questions or challenges that came up in a timely manner. The plumber and electrician they used for our bathroom project were very professional. We will be hiring them for more projects this year."

"I contracted AM Home Improvements to "refresher" my condo, including bathroom, kitchen, flooring and general painting. The experience was great. We were not sure what we wanted. They took the time to walk us through the process and gave us options when needed. They did quality work in very reasonable amount of time. We are very happy with the results."

"Denis did an excellent job, and I would definitely hire him again. He is a skilled welder and craftsman and very professional. He responds quickly over the phone, and quoted a reasonable price. He and his team completed the job in a timely manner, and surpassed my expectations. My gate looks great, the welding is sturdy, and I am very happy! I would definitely recommend him."

"The provider came out to provide an estimate for me to see all the work I needed to have done. The provider did bring an electrical with him, but I already knew that I would need someone who was knowledgeable with electrical work as I have an old home. I have decided to cancel the deal and go with another provider who is also knowledgeable with electrical work. He was wonderful when he came out and very professional. I will probably end up using him on a different job in the future when electrical work is not needed."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

If your project is complex, it may make sense to hire an architect to draw plans. An architect might also be a good person to hire if you want to ensure your plans adhere to building codes and regulations.

Most Greek Revival architecture homes are one and a half to two stories, depending on the footprint, which sets them apart from some Federal architecture homes that are three stories. The gabled roof on the second floor can sometimes cut into the living space, especially on smaller homes of this style, which leaves a much smaller living area upstairs.

Building designers charge between $2,000 and $50,000, depending on project scope, complexity, and customization.

Yes, integrating sustainable practices and energy efficiency into plans is common.

A floor plan is a less detailed illustration showing a building or room's layout from above, including elements like windows, doors, walls, and fixtures. It offers a simplified view for homeowners. In contrast, a blueprint is a more detailed, to-scale architectural drawing that includes all parts of the building plans, such as structural elements, construction details, and utility schematics. While a floor plan can be a type of view within a blueprint, the complete blueprint contains all the necessary details to turn the plan into a reality.
