"Great. They addressed all our concerns about grading water away from the house. After multiple rains the grading has worked perfectly. Paid particular attention to creating clean and straight demarcation lines where asphalt met grass, essentially expanding width of the driveway 6 inches and created nice "flares" at the entrance to the driveway where the grass had been worn down. Before, the driveway looked like the hodge-podge of previous layers (two to three) of asphalt it was with very poor drainage. They dug up and carried away tons of old asphalt and graded. Now it looks neat and "buttoned up" as they would say. Friends of ours saw the completed job and had the guys come over to their home to get a quote to do their driveway."

Local roads and parking lots rely on the Performance Graded (PG) system, chosen based on climate. A PG 64-28 mix, for example, handles a broad temperature range while simpler, more cost-effective mixes are typically enough for residential driveways. The best grade of asphalt depends on traffic, weather, and your budget, which is why a professional’s input is always a smart move before making a decision.

Like brick, paver, and cobblestone driveways, resin driveways can have intricate patterns using different colors. Aggregates can be laid to create curves, shapes, letters, or numbers. When using custom colors or patterns, homeowners can expect to add an extra $2 to $6 per square foot to achieve their desired look.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.
