Customers say: True professional

I have over 20 years of experience as a nurses aide, working in nursing homes and in home health care. Not only do I understand professionalism when dealing with your most private place, your home, my knowledge of cleanliness is based on science. I also understand OSHA laws that are in place to protect me and you while on the job. HIPPA is also something I understand, and I can respect the privacy you need to keep what goes on in your home, in your home. \nI want to continue to help people live their most comfortable lives at home, and that means being able to have a clean and well organized dwelling place. I understand the importance of having the little things taken care of so your focus can remain where it needs to be, and that is whatever is most important to you, such as family or work. It is ok to need a helping hand at home, I hope to become someone you can trust to help lighten your load.

"Chris (owner) cleaned the dining room, stairs, bedroom, dressing room, and closet carpeting. He indicated pet odors would be eradicated (There were lots of areas, some months old).  Odors were still there but Chris has been persistent in staying in touch despite recent flooding throughout town, which takes up the majority of his company's resources as of late. He is coming back to do what he can with our carpet. Very impressed with professionalism and would recommend!"

"It went well. We were pleased with the overall quality and the women who cleaned our home were kind, thoughtful and thorough. We did have some communication problems setting up the appointment with the owner and clarifying the services that needed to be rendered prior to the appointment. The first appointment was missed due to a misunderstanding on the time and address and when I came home to meet cleaners for the second appointment, they had been to the house a half an hour before the scheduled appointment time and thought that I had missed it. When I called them they did return to clean my home. I would recommend a clear form with all information and a confirmation of appointment time, services scheduled, and address of clients for this company. Other that the communication issues, we were quite pleased with our services. Our floors looked better than they had in ages!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

You should strip and wax hardwood floors every six months to two years. The actual length of time between stripping and waxing depends on the wear and tear that the floors see. Stripping and waxing floors can help repair hardwood floor damage and give the room a fresh look.

You can embrace minimalism when it comes to cleaning vinyl plank flooring. Water or diluted vinegar both work great for mopping and are much better options than some other cleaners that can damage the protective coating on these floors. Ammonia or solvent-based polishes can both break down the top layer. Also, avoid “mop-and-shine” cleaners, which tend to leave behind residue on vinyl plank floors.

A floor polisher won’t remove scratches from a wood floor, but the polish can fill in surface scratches and make them all but invisible. If you run your fingernail gently over the scratch and it doesn’t catch, chances are that the polish will hide it. If it does catch, you might want to have your floors fully refinished, and you might need to have a professional floor sander in for particularly deep scratches. When in doubt, call a professional floor polisher to determine if polish will fill in your scratches or if you need more in-depth services.
