This was a Big Deal for 6 hours of cleaning for $179. Service was performed the day before my Christmas Eve gathering. Expecting 22 people. My house is a 2200 SF ranch but the master bedroom and master bath did not need to be done as they had just been remodeled and hadn't been used since. I did ask them to damp mop the floor in the bedroom to get some dust up. Other than that, They had only to sweep and dust 6 rooms and clean the kitchen and 1 1/2 baths. I had cleared the surfaces for them. There wasn't even furniture in 2 of the rooms as it was scheduled to be delivered after they left. The wood floors in 4 of those rooms were brand new and only needed sweeping, no mopping. All the doors and trim in the entire house was freshly painted and needed nothing. In all fairness I will say that we were at the end of a bathroom remodel so there was a lot of dust but I had already dust mopped the floors in every room. Also the full bath was dirty but the toilet was brand new so it needed nothing. I had seen other reviews saying they weren't able to get everything done and if they go over it is $85 an hour so I was careful to tell Rosie my priorities - dusting and cleaning the kitchen. I was shocked at how little they did. I could have done what they did in an hour and I am not a professional cleaner. They dusted 5 rooms and PART of ONE piece of furniture in the family room. They did not even sweep the wood floors. They cleaned the sink only in the full bathroom and swept the floor. They did not mop that bathroom floor or clean the shower. They never even touched the kitchen or the half bath at all, period. Rosie was talking on the phone when I left so while I had my priorities, obviously she did too and it wasn't cleaning. I truly think on the Big Deal they hope to go over on purpose and then you get stuck paying their ludicrous hourly rate which would be a huge mistake given how little they accomplish. I feel totally robbed and now I have to spend my evening cleaning.

I'm really glad I hired A&R to clean our house to prep it for sale. Rosie is very detail oriented and professional. She was able to accommodate a last minute cleaning request and was very professional and easy to get along with. She was really fair and did a wonderful job for us! I would highly recommend them for any house cleaning!

The provider was able to do same day service as I had found out tenants were moving in the next day. There was some confusion over the phone over the address that had been given and the caller did not at first identify themselves as the provider before asking for directions. Two subsequent calls on the estimate were similar in confusion and content. Although the price was given readily and fairly prior to work being completed.

They are more a housecleaning company, not a carpet cleaning company. They did show up late but the carpet did get clean.

There was a bit of confusion regarding the price for the service. What I thought we had agreed to was different than what she stated was the cost following the service. Following a conversation, we did settle on what the figure I had assumed so her cost structure was a bit fuzzy - at least to me. The quality of the work was OK but not outstanding. That said, we have a big house and had not used a cleaning service before so perhaps my expectations exceeded reality.

What she did was extremely well done, those areas of the house have never been cleaner. however, because she was so detailed, she wasn't able to complete that much. also the numbers on the "big deal" didn't add up, which i don't believe were here fault, but I should have read more carefully.

Rosie said it would be 4 hours at $85/hr, then texted while she was cleaning and said she would be there two more hours. For nearly $500 (I got an Angie's List discount), I was expecting a completely clean space. When I arrived, I looked it over quickly and noticed they didn't even touch the inside of the oven. When I mentioned that to her daughter, she offered to clean it, but I was ok with that because I thought that was the only thing she missed. Then I noticed the broom closet wasn't cleaned and when I asked her daughter about it she said "I tried my best" and I took her word for it. When I came back a couple of days later and looked at it as a potential buyer would, I started noticing quiet a bit that they missed. I started working on the broom closet; it took me about 20 minutes to clean it right up. They also missed a big spot in the corner (hardwood floors). I wiped it with a rag and it came up. The toilet had a ring at the top of the water line; I poured bleach in the toilet and 30 minutes later, there was no ring. The walls and baseboards were supposed to be cleaned, but they weren't. I had to wipe them all down. She did do a fabulous job on the bathtub and refrigerator! There were two things that disappointed me the most, 1) if she quoted $340, I should have paid $340 or at least met in the middle - paying 5 hours instead of the 4 hours quoted and 6 hours worked and 2) she was really nice and I was looking forward to hiring her for regular cleanings, but now I won't.

"[member name removed] first I would like to say thank you for giving my company the chance to clean for you but I have to say that I am very disappointed in your comment and that you waited almost two months later to write this I came a gave you an estimate for 4 hours sometimes it can take what I say are some times I cant see everything until I get into the cleaning you couldn't be there when I got started so I stayed in touch with you by phone im sorry but your condo needed more work your bathroom alone took me two hours alone I think you knew became you stated that to me when we did the walk through your bathroom was in very bad shape but when I was done with it it looked new your toilet was not dirty your toilet needed a stone to get the ring out something that I use offten when I get toilets in that condition but I didnt bring one with me the only thing that I agree with you is that my daughter forgot to clean the oven and that the wax wasn't even in one spot and as far as hour closet I am a house cleaner not a carpenter and you had dry wall mud on your walls on the walls and when you met with my daughter she showed it to you and you agreed with her I don't know what you use to getit off but you did not use ccleaning products and you didn't let bleech sit in a toilet that has a ring in it you need a stone to get out I have cleaned to many toilets to know better and you didn't find anything else wrong either im not perfect but I don't work like that I think what you are really mad about is my fee you don't think that I should be making that kind of money but it's something about me and other companies I get right in there with my team and I put my heart and soul in my work became I like what I do I just don't do it for the money and know mater what you thought you was go ing to get out of this coment im going to continue to clean houses rather you hire me again are not because if I have to work for dishonest people I don't need the work because I gave you 40 dollars off coupon and then I took another hour off for you even though I worked very hard in your condo again ms strong I thank you for your business"

It took several emails before any contact was made as they were not used to email contacts. I had to change the date originally selected and it caused a lot of confusion on the correct date. So several phone calls were had. Finally a date was scheduled and confirmed.
But on the confirmed date they did not show up as schedule at the scheduled time. After several emails and phone calls found out that the crew had not been notified of this scheduled cleaning as the scheduler had been in the hospital. They then planned to do the next day on a Saturday.
They called at 7:30 am on Saturday to confirm the 10 am time and to get the correct address as they were given the wrong one. They did show up ahead of schedule.
I was quite concerned though because I am a single woman and a red unmarked pick-up truck showed up with two black men getting old equipment out of the back of the truck that had duck tape on the hose of one of the pieces of equipment.
They identified themselves once at the door and started bringing in their equipment. They needed to know where there was a water outlet and where they could empty their dirty water. I have never had this asked of me by other clean companies I have used in the past. They reported that they do not use steam cleaning equipment as do other cleaning companies and use older cleaning equipment as they do a better job.
They also do not move any furniture as other cleaning companies have. Luckily I am only 65 and quite agle yet and moved all the chairs out of the way so they could at least clean around the two eating tables and then I moved everything backed myself as they suggested that at least 24 hours take place before any movement was made on the freshly cleaned carpet..
So other than the concerns listed above, they SURPRISING did quite a nice cleaning job. Some of the spots that other cleaning companies were not able to get out were gone and are still gone.

She was very nice in scheduling a last minute cleaning before christmas. They crew was pretty slow, but I expected it as I had read the same in other reviews. But, they did an excellent job. One criticism is that I told her I had a small, but very calm dog that never met a stranger. The crew she sent carried on like it was a rabid tiger with Michel Myers, screaming, running hiding, ect. I did my best to keep her outside, but I bet the used up a half hour running from my her. I give an A for everything but the speed of cleaning and the ridiculousness surrounding my dog.
