"Justin contacted me within 30 minutes of requesting a quote for a dumpster and delivered it the next day. He was very flexible and agreed to both bring me another dumpster and empty my first one as I underestimated how much junk I had. He was courteous and professional throughout. Highly recommend."

"They arrived when they said they would and I basically turned them loose on a garage I was emptying out and told them they could take whatever had value to them.  They took away two old A/C units, a broken lawn mower, metal shelving, old car batteries, some left over electrical wiring, dried out paint cans and miscellaneous scrap metal.  Saved me hours of work and a trip to the garbage dump and now I know this stuff will get melted down and used somewhere else instead of rusting in a landfill.  Was very happy with the service provided, and hopefully they will get plenty of value out of the items they took.

"moved the tub with no issues. Leondre was flexible about time and coordinated with us so that he could be here when our contractor was here. I will definitely use this service again. Highly recommend them!"

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

It’s one thing that helps, alongside vinegar and baking soda. Ice acts as an exfoliant, helping to lift off any bits of food stuck on the disposal blades.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.
