Very diligent worker, pleasant to speak with. Always showed up on time, definitely a hard worker and he did it all by himself. He completed our project in just 4 days. I would highly recommend him to anyone who asks. If I ever need flooring work again, will definitely use him without question.

Kevin was great to deal with. He did exactly what he said he would do, was prompt and did excellent work, at a very fair prichip He repaired and replaced the floor in an old camper we have and made it look like new. We will certainly use him again when we have flooring needs and would gladly recommend him to anyone.

Kevin owner of Downright Flooring did an exceptional job. He did all the work himself. He completed the job in 2.5 days. Additionally, he cleaned up behind himself and my house was never in a total disarray. I plan on laying vinyl in my upstairs and Kevin will definitely the contracted to do the job for me. I hired Kevin to install all tile in a new bathroom, including floor and custom shower, which he knew when he bid the job. On 2/18/20, in my first review, I rated Kevin a 4.0, stating his flatwork was fine but he was unable to construct the custom shower (I had to hire an additional tile company to construct the custom shower). It is the 2nd week of March and now...first one...then another floor tile has come loose, clicking when I walk on them. I called Kevin and calmly explained this to him (knowing that call-backs are a part of almost any job) and he immediately proceeded to cuss me out, calling me every name he could think of! I was SHOCKED, to say the least. I had paid him immediately for the job. He had absolutely no reason to talk to me, his customer, that way. After I hung up, he must have come to the realization he had made a tremendous error, because he called back and said he would come back to the job and reset the loose tiles. I told him he would never set foot in my house again, nor did I ever want to see him or talk to him again! In order to correct the poor workmanship of Kevin, I am having to hire the contractor that built the shower stall and pay him for what Kevin should have done on a no/charge call-back. End of story and my association with Kevin B., the Owner of Downright Flooring! Beware!

Kevin was hired for a job in a small bathroom which is the only one in the house. He came to my house and provided an estimate on the job. The job was clearly explained to him and he was told the subfloor would have to be replaced. The quote was $1085.00 to demo the bathroom, haul-off, install the new tile floor and backsplash, and then reset both toilet and sink with me supplying all materials. There was a note added that a plumber may need to be called if there were any problems. I was told the job would take two days and possibly a button-up day on a third. Subfloor had to be replaced and Kevin had to build a box around the plumbing that was there. This added a day to the job. I was told then that the job would be a little more expensive than the original estimate which I understood. During his time in my home issues arose with his professionalism. Instead of putting in extenders for the sockets on the wall he tiled over the boxes and screws making it impossible to replace switches or bring them up to the level they needed to be for wall covers. On the fourth day, he sent me a text saying that they would be late, and they would be driving a different vehicle because his van's #3 cylinder had blown out which is not a problem, but the problem arose when his attitude that day was poor. He became upset when he could not get the new toilet to seat properly and when he opened the box for the faucet to be installed on the new sink. After the toilet would not seat he tried to start the sink install. there was an issue with the new vanity and the plumbing and rather than ask me what I would like to do, he just cut the new vanity for the pipes. These were all things I had been told he could do. He complained it was too much! After he broke the wax ring for the toilet and cut the vanity without asking, I told him I would call a plumber and that he could just pack his things and go because the job was done. He then presented me with a bill totaling $2,400.00 which was more than double the original estimate. When I questioned the bill his response was, That is the best I can do. I came out here four days, I have gas cost, etc. I would have been okay if the bill had gone up to $1752.50 which would have paid him the same rate as the original estimate for the extra day, but to tell me you had worked four days when he was only there for about 3 hours on one of those days is over the top beyond the fact the final bill still showed him performing services that he did not complete. I cannot in good conscience recommend Kevin for flooring because he lacks the professionalism, I desire with both work quality and communication. As a professional, you should be able to admit that you are in over your head and inform your client that. If you have never actually worked with electrical boxes, then you should tell your client that and probably should not suggest tiling walls with the. The original idea was just the wall behind the sink. Additionally, you should update your client on the estimate, but he failed to do that which resulted in him then provided a bill that was more than double the original estimate. I frankly feel that I was charged a premium because his work van was going to require a costly repair. That feeling intensified when I found out he rushed right over to my back after the job to cash the check. He full well knew he was wrong and was afraid I would stop payment!

He might do a good job on other types of flooring but I don't recommend him for large tile jobs. Tiles are crooked and grout lines are uneven. If you want it done quickly and don't care what the finished product looks like, he's your guy.

Kevin installed engineered hardwood in our home. He was amazing. He is such a friendly guy and so nice! He's very professional! You can count on what he says, he delivers excellent service. He was very thorough and he cleaned up before he left. I would recommend Kevin to anyone! In fact, we will be hiring him again for more projects!

Kevin installed a luxury vinyl plank floor in my kitchen and did a tremendous job. In addition to his great work, he always showed up when he said he would, he was friendly, professional and courteous. I plan on having more flooring installed at some point in the future, and I only want Kevin to do it, he is the best at what he does. I really can not say enough positive things about his work and his work habits. If I could give him more than 5 stars I definitely would!

He actually laid some carpet for my Dad's house. He was on-time, he explained as he goes. He vacuummed the carpet as he was done. He attitude was amazing
