"I had an addition I wanted for our home. We were required to have a survey and an engineer drawing to apply for the permit. I had a list of 10-15 local engineering companies given to me by the permitting office. Very few would return my call. several the rest said they only do commercial or that this was too small of a job and would cost more. It was taking months and I was frustrated and decided to try Angie’s. I am so pleased. I had a response that very day I inquired for the job. It was clear what was needed from me. Great communication and answered questions to help me get them what they needed. The project from start to finish was drafted within 3 weeks. I have been handy manning for over 35 years now. My parents got divorced when I was 13 and I always loved shop class and we were dirt poor and usually had who didn't want to fix anything so I learned at a young age how to be handy. I can do just about anything but I'm not going to say no job to big because it's so hard to get help. I don't ever milk anything. There's way to much other work to be had to do that for one thing and another I just don't believe in it, my work ethic is way to strong. I can do almost anything just give me a try and if I can't that's what you tube is for. Thanks for your time.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size. 

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large. 

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.
