A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

You might think it’s OK to ignore a faucet that drips if it’s not too bad, but doing so can cause more damage. A leaky faucet can also increase water bills and potentially attract bugs and other pests to your home. When you find a water leak, it can result in water damage to your home, which can cause structural issues and mold growth.

Areas with hard water are prone to this problem because the high mineral content in hard water causes build-up in pipes and water lines. This constricts the water flow and causes water to slowly trickle out, if at all.
