Cape Home Remodel

My family and I hired Jeff as our General Contractor to oversee the construction of our 1500 sq. ft. summer home. It was the best decision we made regarding this project. Jeff was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive to our design requests and of our vision for this home, while providing his expertise in all phases of construction from site work, foundation, framing, siding and roofing, stairs, and all interior finished work – including installing wood molding trim, doors, closets shelves, kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, all of which he does himself. Jeff hired and coordinated reputable subcontractors required to complete the project on schedule, and met all of his commitments regarding price, quality of materials, and high standard of professionalism and quality construction. Jeff was responsive over the 6-month schedule, keeping us informed of the overall progress, including subcontractor and weather delays, local permitting challenges, and coordination of several building inspections – all of which passed the first time attesting to the quality of Jeff’s work. Overall, whether it is a large or a small project, we wholeheartedly recommend Jeff for your construction project.

Our basement was finished beautifully, ahead of schedule with no surprise added costs. Communication was great, we always knew when someone was coming to do work or inspections, and Jeff and his subcontractors handled some of the inspections when we weren't there. The subcontractors all did great work.

His communication was consistent so we knew where we stood throughout the process and he treated our home with respect. We are so happy with how the space looks and the value he added to our home. Jeff takes pride in his work and we felt comfortable with not only Jeff but the subcontractors that he brought in as well. We would be happy to work with him again in the future on other home projects.

We first hired Jeff to put in a basement family room and bathroom. It came out so well we then hired him to remodel our master bedroom/ bathroom, which included a long hallway and laundry area as well. After a friend designed the space, Jeff did a great job bringing it to fruition. We love our redesigned soace!

Professional showed up on time and explained everything that needed to be done. Jeff does excellent work and everything came out better than expected.

Jeff did a great job completely updating our kitchen and two bathrooms. Gone are the ugly popcorn ceilings, linoleum floors, and formica counters. We now have a modern look to our home with beautiful quartz counters, shaker-style cabinetry, stainless steel fixtures, and laminate floors. Jeff also did a great job by quickly finding alternate suppliers for our shower units during the supply chain challenges.

This review is long overdue. Jeff is awesome! We would 100% recommend him to anyone who is looking to turn their basement into a finished living space. NEarly 2 years later and we are still satisfied with his work. Other contractors told us that it would be "impossible" to finish our basement...Jeff said "No problem" and made our vision a reality. He fought with suppliers during Covid shortages to make sure that the project stayed on track. We really felt that he made us a priority. He even communicated with us when he was visiting family abroad. He was open and transparent for the entire process. He worked with us as we made tweaks and the project was done within the proposed time frame. It expanded our living space and we spend time in it every day. We still can't believe that this was our dark, scary basement - it's like a new home!

Excellent job done by Jeff from Cape home remodel. Everything from start to finish was so professional: he delivers on all his commitments such as price; time of start/finish; quality of materials; cleanliness, etc. Jeff had previously created a family room in half of our basement, which also turned out perfectly. He's the only one we call for remodeling projects.

I found Jeff Wragg on Angi and contacted him along with a couple of companies to look at our basement project for proposals. Jeff quickly understood what we were looking for and helped formulate our final thinking. We selected hiim to proceed ahead. He doesn’t do traditional "design" work but quickly shapes a mental picture of what we wanted/needed. We chose Jeff and are really happy we did. Once we signed the contract the only delays incurred came through waiting for the town to approve the permit and then the follow-ups with the Town as work was completed. We had about a two week delay waiting for the permit which literally resulted in a two week delay to completing the project. It was about a 2.5 month project. Jeff was spot on with his schedule and estimates and the only "change order" we had to deal with was regarding an air exchange unit the Town required to be installed. Jeff and his team (eg, Framing, Electrical, insulating, sheetrock, paint) did a fantastic job. They showed up when they said they would and are very trustworthy. I don't live full time on the Cape so 99% of the work was done when we were back in CT. I came up occasionally to check on the progress and took loads of pictures. Every time I came back I always sent Jeff a note about how happy we were with the progress. My daughter, Son-in-law and grandson spent the last week and a half living there (we use the Den as a sleeping area) and loved it. We did too! We will have other projects to do in the condo and Jeff will be my first call.

Jeff did a great job getting the doors, windows, trim and siding replaced on my house. He also completely gutted the kitchen die. The the studs and installed a whole new kitchen. Very responsive, kept me informed of supply chain issues, etc. would highly recommend Jeff for your home improvement needs.

Jeff did a very nice job replacing my existing wood deck with all new azek boards and rail system. He was very candid and easy to deal with once we got going. He was even able to quote and complete my job without me having to be onsite overseeing the process. The time between quote and completion of the job was only about three weeks, and the job was done in four days. I would hire Jeff again!

Jeff is great- would highly recommend him. He put all new windows in our house, including slider door, as well as opened up some walls, and it's like a new house- we love it! Hes reasonable and reliable, and we really appreciate it. Thx Jeff!

This was a BIG project done during the height of COVID. The house is an old cape with lots of charm and lots of quirks that make a renovation like this challenging, never mind the challenges the pandemic threw in the mix. Jeff and his team did an OUTSTANDING job. They navigated through the many hurdles, were in constant contact with us (which we were in California) to give updates, discuss potential changes needed etc. This renovation touched about every aspect of the house: Entire second floor and bedroom suite with four-piece bath (stand-alone tub and walk-in shower). New Kitchen Finished basement with half bath Screened in Porch All new windows New AC system New shingles Finished carpentry Jef was point with the architect, town for permits and all contractors working on the project. He did an outstanding job and recommend him to anyone.

Jeff and his crew built out a large. Assume the room and bathroom. I’ve had other work and contractors for various projects, but none were as responsive as Jeff! Any questions we had were attended to quickly and the workmanship was top notch. I am hiring him for a major bathroom renovation next.

I am highly satisfied with the basement remodel that Jeff and his crew recently completed. My experience from beginning to end with him was top notch. When we first met and discussed the project, Jeff made recommendations that were in keeping with what we wanted, without upselling us. In fact, he recommended the most cost-effective routes whenever possible. We received a detailed and very reasonable estimate promptly, and he was very much available and receptive to questions and feedback. Also, his quote was competitive and actually lower than others. After reading the Angie's list review, we knew he was the right person to do the job, so we hired him. He began the project promptly after the required permits were acquired, and he was in touch with us every step of the way, making recommendations when needed which were very helpful. The framing itself was like fine artistry. I was amazed with the detail and thoughtfulness that he put into that part alone. Subsequently the next steps including insulation, plumbing, electrical, drywall, paint, HVAC went smoothly, and without any delays. Communication with Jeff and his crew was always easy during the process. Jeff's subcontractors are top notch. All are loyal to him, and praised him due to his strong work ethic, pride in his work, and sheer talent. Their work was equally outstanding. As far as Jeff himself, he is kind, reliable, hard working, trustworthy, incredibly skilled, and a true pleasure to work with. He was always available to answer my questions, and he was always very patient in addressing all of my concerns. And very importantly, you can tell that he takes great pride in his work, and he is passionate about creating a high quality product. The end balance came in very close to the initial estimate. The final product is a masterpiece of outstanding craftsmanship and design. I would not hesitate for a moment to hire Jeff for any future projects. Do not look any further than Cape Home Remodel. Jeff and his crew did a nice job with the windows as well as the inside walls, ceiling and floor. All the outlets were installed where we requested and the new light fixture looks great. We are also very happy with the new floor. Overall very pleased with the results. Jeff is easy to work with and his pricing is very reasonable. We are already planning to have him do a couple of other projects when the weather gets warmer in the spring. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Jeff has completed 2 other major projects for me and I will continue to recommend him and use him for future projects. Jeff is punctual, conscientious and his workmanship is far superior to others. I don't even bother getting other quotes because he can be counted on to give the best price with no surprises. Even though this was a large project he was able to present several options without enlisting the services of an architect which saved a substantial amount of money,

Jeff replaced our existing deck with good attention to detail and at a fair price. In the course of the replacement there were some unexpected issues found, and he made the necessary adjustments to fix the problems in a timely manner. Would hire him again for future projects.

I got three estimates and Jeff at Cape Home Remodel had the best price. He came out, looked at what needed to be done and put us on his schedule. Due to some issues with the Harwich building department, the project was postponed by us until this spring as well as modified in scope. Jeff replaced the pressure treated decking with Azek, fixed some support issues with the structure and repaired pieces of the railing that had broken. He also replaced the decking in front of the front door with Azek. The final results were excellent and we are very pleased with the outcome. We would hire Jeff again any time and are already considering having him do some other work. I certainly would recommend Jeff to my friends and neighbors without hesitation.

We found Cape Home Remodel on Angie's List. We met with Jeff a few times and he helped us create a plan we were happy with and one that was in our budget. The start date and completion of project went as planned. The work is absolutely beautiful. We are so in love with our basement. Jeff takes pride in his work. Jeff and his crew were very talented, honest people. They addressed all of our concerns. Our kids and dog enjoyed seeing them everyday too. I would highly recommend Jeff for any home project.
