"Metro Tree Service removed a large maple tree from our backyard, including grinding the stump. There are power lines, fences and so on and they worked around them safely and with great expertise. The price was reasonable, the crew was great, the work was done quickly and efficiently and our yard was left in great condition. Would definitely recommend (and have) to friends and family."

"KC Tree Service contacted me the day I listed my project and came by to give me a bid that evening. We set up to do the job the next morning around ten they showed up at eight o. 'clock and asked if they could go ahead and take care of mine first thing. They started in and by ten o'clock the branch was down loaded in their truck and my yard cleaned up. Any more, and the safety risk becomes too high, which could lead to catastrophe. For this job, it’s safest to let a tree-trimming professional assess the work needed.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree.
