"Nathan Yetter came out and gave me a bid the same day we had contact. The company did my tree service the day after I hired it for the job.. Yetter's Tree Service had the lowest bid for my job; the company and crew were professional, fast, reliable, friendly and responsible. I would recommend them to anyone needing tree service."

"I have never been so impressed with any tree service than KC Tree Specialist. They arrived promptly and worked efficiently and effectively. They have all the proper quipment along with the skill to use it correctly. Noel and his crew are very personable and cordial. They respect your property and work hard to satisfy your request exactly. The clean up was excellent. When I asked for more work to be done, they did it immediately without overcharging for the work. They go beyond. KC Tree service gives you th best bang for the buck hands down. I highly recommend them to anyone. They get it done now. You needn't look any farther."

"I used A&R for a good sized tree trimming project at my house. I needed climbers in an area that was not easy to access with heavy equipment. Armando and his crew were responsive, respectful of my property and the surrounding structures. They were on time and on budget. They cleaned up after the work was done, and did an excellent job with what I needed done. I would 100% use them again! Armando was professional, and you could tell he takes pride in his work."

"I contacted Chris and he provided an estimate the next day. After comparing it to several others, I hired Chris and C&D Tree Service. He scheduled the work for the following Monday. It consisted of trimming 2 trees and removing 2 other 40+ foot pair trees. They completed the work in less than 2 days during 100-degree temperatures. Chris and his team were professional, courteous and efficient throughout the project. It was very easy to work with Chris. I highly recommend Chris and C&D Tree Service for any tree service projects."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

Many species, especially when well-established, are not fans of transplantation. You’ll need to decide if you want to risk splashing the cash, understanding that transplantation isn’t always successful. Again, this is where hiring a pro is helpful, as they can give you all the essential info you need to ensure your tree stands a fighting chance.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.
