"Fantastic job by Zane and his crew. I had them remove a tree more than 5 years ago and we were so impressed by his work ethic, manners, pricing and reliability, that we asked him to come back and take care of removing several of our trees. Just like last time, we are extremely happy with his work."

"They did a superior job. You do not have enough rating to give them. They did a very good job on cleaning up after themselves. Other than the bare spots on the trees where they took the limbs out, you could not even tell they were here."

"Two Friend's tree service it’s true to their word! They do an excellent job at a fair price which these days is something that’s hard to find. I’ve used them for all of my rental properties and my personal home. I would highly recommend them."

"Exceeded expectations in every way. Very knowledgeable about the 'why's' and source causes of issues and reads up to be extremely fluent before beginning work. This is hard to find, we've been through many tree services including the 'big' guys and highly reputable arborists. Cody blows them away. On top of his care and interest in the subject matter, he's very kind and communicates extremely well to set expectations and guide you through making the decisions that result in what you are trying to achieve. Can't recommend him enough. Will be using for all future work. A true gem."

"They did a good job, on time. The job was done on a rainy day, but that wasn't a problem. Very professional. If I have tree work in the future, I will definitely call Forest Keepers."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The depth of tree roots depends on the species. Trees like oaks and maples can have root systems that grow down 20 feet or more. However, trees that grow in shallow soils will have roots that go only a few feet down. Research how your tree species grows in your climate area to estimate root depth.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

Dying trees and even dead trees can spread diseases to other living trees. There are many different types of tree diseases, so it’s essential to address the issue as soon as possible to prevent the disease from spreading to other healthy trees. If the tree cannot be saved and is infected, you need to have it removed to protect the other trees on your property.

Pruning a tree is a yearly DIY job that involves removing small dead branches, leaves, and blooms to help the tree grow bigger and stronger. You can often complete the job with basic home gardening tools. Trimming a tree, however, removes larger sections to control the direction the tree grows in and protects your home, utility wires, and yard from potentially dangerous branches.

State and local laws vary, but in most cases, you are allowed to trim any branches from your neighbor's tree that cross your property line. However, it's important to ensure you do not damage the overall health of the tree in the process. Removing branches incorrectly can jeopardize the health of the tree and could lead to you being on the hook to replace it.
