He spoke directly to HomeServe on the phone; got them to understand a repair would still require a replacement very soon and be a waste of money, so they agreed to the replacement; I agreed to pay the cost of the upgrades I needed to be to code and he installed the new water heater. It was a very seamless job, and done very clean and neat, with good information all along the way about what I needed to do to take good care of it too. I will definitely recommend this company and this plumber."

"These guys were VERY prompt to get a softener installed when my old one stopped working. The new Hague unit uses FAR less salt than my old one, which is great. We had one fitting leak on the pre-filter, which was due to a hairline crack on the housing. This was not their fault at all, but they came right out and replaced the entire unit at no charge. "Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is easy to work with. Because they are a premier company the cost of service is high but they do stand behind their service. I was concerned about the water heater anode since the water heater is 8 years old. The technician asked about the water coming from the water heater and smells or colorization of the hot water. It was decided the anode is fine at this time. Due to my flushing the water heater every 6 months that probably will extend the life of the anode. The technician, whose name was Jacob, asked about any other plumbing issues I knew about that might needed attention. I was given estimates for making the needed repairs by email in the early afternoon. They do good work but expect that it will cost more than some plumbing companies."
