Im looking for new customers and long term friendships. Ive been a handyman since 2020 professionally. Before that ive been doing this line of work my whole life. If youre looking for someone to make your home pop from the street, lawncare is one of my biggest passions. I just love the way around yard can make a house look beautiful or hideous. I am passionate about it and will never cut corners or rush to get it done. I do drywall, painting, plumbing( nothing major) electrical ( nothing major) door and frame replacements, roof repairs, the list goes on and on i am most definetly " a jack of all trades"

In theory, a standard breaker can trip around 50 times before it needs replacing if overloading is the cause of your breaker tripping. In practice, you may find that number is much lower, however. You should aim to replace your electrical outlets every 15 years, although some GFCI outlets can last as long as 25 years. On the other hand, outlets can go bad much earlier if:

  • The wiring is in poor condition.

  • Your circuit is overloaded.

  • There are loose plugs in the outlet. 

  • If the outlet wasn’t installed properly. 

  • If the outlet wasn’t grounded. 

In the case of electrical overflow, an ungrounded outlet should trip the circuit breaker, staving off dangerous scenarios. However, this is not always the case, especially if the wires and circuit breaker are worn down or damaged in some way. Ungrounded wires melt over time as they are introduced to more and more electricity. In other words, a circuit breaker offers protection in most instances but not always, and that’s where the danger lies with ungrounded outlets.

This type of conversion is easy—you’ll just need to upgrade to the correct amperage in your wires before wiring the new outlet. However, these projects can be tricky without intermediate electrical knowledge, so consider consulting a pro before flipping any switches on your circuit breaker.
