"Great job. We completely renovated our kitchen. We moved our kitchen sink and garbage disposal from a side island to a middle island, moved our dishwasher and added a pot filler above our stove. Very professional and we love the finished product! Awesome to work with, listens to the customer and adds his own vision which helped us achieve exactly what we wanted!"

"Joe from JMS Drain Services was my service technician who arrived well within the window scheduled service time. Joe came in, inspected the sink to determine how to resolve my issue, took out the tool (snake apparatus) to clear the sink, and departed my premises within 15 minutes. I was pleased he resolved my clogged sink so quickly so I could rest after a night's work. Thank you again, Joe."

"I can't say enough about the quality of Scott's work in both areas. He was prompt, professional and friendly. He called to let me know when he would be arriving and called if delayed over the several weeks it took to complete the jobs. He went over all of the house's exterior with me to assure he understood my needs and expectations.
He carefully matched the trim color on my windows through the local Menards store where the windows had been purchased and the end result was just fabulous!
In the kitchen, he repositioned the ceiling can lights to match the new cabinets and refinished the old can light areas taking care to match as closely as possible the French Lace ceiling details. If you don't know the lights have been moved, you have to look very hard to find the repaired areas! The cabinet electrical hookups for upper and lower cabinets were installed cleanly and neatly. When my other contractor hooked up the stove exhaust fan and had "shut off" problems at the electrical box, he found that a wire had been crossed that Scott had installed. Scott promptly returned and fixed the problem.
I would not hesitate to use Scott and his company again and would highly recommend him to others."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

Undermount sinks have clips that attach to the countertop, but they have pros and cons. They are heavier than drop-in sinks, so they only work with sturdy countertops like natural stone and are a more expensive option. You might need someone to help you install the sink, depending on its weight.

Drop-in sinks, also known as top-mount, are the easiest to install, especially when they fit the existing sinkhole. Drop-in sinks sit on top of the counter and have a raised edge to keep water from splashing onto the floor. They come in different styles to match your kitchen design.

If your sink is on an exterior wall that isn’t insulated, or if pipes travel through a cabinet against an exterior wall that prevents heated air from circulating around the pipes, the pipes can freeze, causing them to burst. The best way to avoid leaking sinks is to insulate the pipes and open cabinets in the short term to warm the water line up and prevent freezing.

To avoid the high costs of plumbing repairs, watch for potential problems. If you see any signs of a leak, consider hiring a professional plumber. A pro can assess the level of damage and make the appropriate repairs.

Plumbing leaks are always better tackled immediately. You can also fix any minor repairs yourself or ask the plumber if they can use less expensive materials.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common plumbing practice that can simplify installation and save space. When sharing a vent, it's important that the toilet is located downstream from all other fixtures. You will also need to ensure the vent pipe is large enough to handle the demands of all connected fixtures without compromising its effectiveness. Because requirements can vary, you should always check your local building and plumbing codes. Consulting a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure the vent is properly sized, installed, and adheres to all local regulations.
