"Our furnace shut down on Friday evening for no apparent reason.  I called Bassett to see if they could send a technician out to check it.  The after hours customer service rep was very friendly and said she would send someone out in about 3 hours.  In the meantime, I checked the furnace to see if there was anything that could have caused it to shut off that I might have missed.  I noticed that the front panel door on the furnace was loose, so I snapped it back tightly, and the furnace came on.  I called Bassett back and asked them if I could talk to the technician to see if that might have been the problem.  She connected me to "Ross" via his cell phone.  Ross was very friendly and helpful.  He did confirm that if the panel door was loose or open, it would cause the furnace to shut off as a safety feature.  He said that if I had any other questions or if the furnace shut off again, to just call them back and they would send him out. The next morning, (Saturday) I got a call from Bassett to ask me if Ross had answered all my questions, and they asked if everything was still working.  I told them everything was working fine and that Ross was very helpful.  I thanked them for taking the time to call me to follow up on everything."

"After buying the $79 service call from Angie's List, it was a week before I could get anyone out to diagnose the problem. Therefore, I couldn't use my kitchen range. Once here, Sammie immediately saw that the problem was with a loose wire in the electrical panel. He tightened this up and suggested the entire panel be replaced as it was 20 years old and loose wires would continue to occur. He offered what I assume was a decent price (although still very expensive), and I authorized replacing the panel. However, it was almost a week later before that could be done as they were so busy. The reason for the B rating is that although I paid for the service by credit card and was given a credit card receipt, I was not given an invoice showing what work was to be done. The agreed price was written on a piece of paper. It took several emails after the work was done to get a proper invoice showing what was done and what was replaced. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the work that was performed."
