White Oak Construction

The whole experience was a disaster. Wanted to convert an old bath tub to a tiled walk in shower, which they said they could do for about $5000. After first meeting end of Jan, all I got was the run around. There was a first meeting, but other than taking measurements, not a lot was accomplished. I got an initial quote of $5000-$7500 for the shower and a quote of $2300-$3000 for 3 quartz vanities for 3 bathrooms. I had to pay $750 to schedule a designer meeting, at which most but not all decisions were finalized, including picking out the quartz. By now it was middle of March. I received a final contract for final costs of $10,288. Immediately after signing, I realized the contract did not include a credit for the $750 I already paid. When I reached out to them, I was told that the quartz price had gone up and they would be charging me an additional $2000, almost double the original quote. AFTER I SIGNED THE CONTRACT. I tried to speak to manager, got more run around, then was told they were refunding my money, which they did rather than fix this mess. So they wasted 2 months and now I have to start over with getting quotes. I find it ironic that another company who quoted me $2500 for 3 vanities in Jan, honored their quote end of March.

I was impressed with the quality of the windows. They were very kind, courteous, and work very efficiently. They were very good to work with and I will definitely use them again.

The workers were prompt and very courteous. They did everything quickly and efficiently and made sure that the mess was cleaned as as they progressed. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

Extremely happy with the quality of the product they offer. Makes a huge difference in the appearance, comfort level, energy efficiency of our home. These windows are easy to clean, easy to open and close, block solar radiation, and keep our home warm in winter. The installation was professionally done. Crew was friendly and polite. Very attentive to small details. Our 20 year old home really needed this upgrade and I am very confident we used the right service provider for the job. Would definitely hire this company again.

This was our first experience with building a custom home. We were so thankful to have David and White Oak Construction in charge of the project and handling all of the details for us. The project went beautifully. We had a vision, and he created the dream for us. David?s attention to detail was very much appreciated. He listened to our needs and helped us make logical decisions throughout the entire process. He was constantly on site checking on the progress of each phase of the project. The fact that White Oak Construction is experienced in a broad range of skills was important to me in choosing a home builder. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone interested in new construction or a home improvement project.

They did all the work in one day.  They were efficient, on time, and cleaned up everything before they left.

We had new windows installed by White Oak Construction on the front of our house and in the master bedroom.  I think the window itself is a high quality product and the crew that installed them were prompt, skilled and professional.  I really liked the fact that they use their own crew and do not subcontract the job out.  There were 7 windows total that needed to be replaced.  They were here at 9AM and done by about 2PM, cleaned up well after themselves and hauled the old windows and debris away.  All in all they did an excellent job.  I think the windows are a bit expensive (even after they worked with us to get the cost down), but sometimes you have to pay up a bit for quality and the windows do have a lifetime guarantee that is transferable to the next owner.  There is a noticeable reduction in noise and draftiness in the rooms where the windows were replaced.  All-in-all I was pleased with the experience and will have them back to replace the remaining windows in the house later this year.

We felt like they didn't give themselves enough time. They thought they could get the job done in about five days and it took them seven and a half days. Then, it just seemed like they just wanted to move too fast. We weren't all that happy. They could have put some of the baseboard down before they painted the walls and that kind of thing. But, they had to get the job done. We felt it moved a little too fast for us. All in all, it came out well enough. We had two bids and they were within $100 of each other. I think they tried hard to keep us happy. They were very punctual. They were here when they said they would be here, unless we had bad weather. Then, they called and let us know. They were a little bit too fast for John's comfort. The contractor sat down with him and discussed why things had changed.

A few months ago we had White Oak out to replace a window in our dining room. White the price was exorbitant, the quality of the window and the install itself was top notch. At the time they quoted us for the window, we also received a quote to re-wrap some of the pre-existing windows.
A couple weeks ago, I contacted White Oak again to see if the quote was still good. White Oak came out to the house, confirmed the price was still good,wrote up a service agreement for the work that we both signed, and collected my credit card number for a deposit (which was never charged luckily). Two weeks later (today), White Oak comes back out, apologizes and explains that they won't honor the previous agreement because they only wrap windows that they install themselves. They are a full construction company that lists windows, siding, soffit & facia, doors, and homes & additions on their website. It's clear they have this ability, they're just choosing not to because they want to sell more of their expensive windows. I had previously planned on having them replace 3-4 more windows and a couple doors in the future, but I'll be looking for someone else at this point.

It went very well. Once a contract is signed, the work is scheduled and ran on schedule. There were a couple things I noticed after the work was finished (minor finishing work). They came back immediately and fixed the few items. Very pleasant to work with.  In fact, I am getting ready to call them in a couple months to complete another side of the house.  The quality of the products used are excellent.

We had two windows replaced. They showed up on time. They did a great job. The windows look absolutely wonderful. For any appointment I've with them, they've always been prompt. This is first dealing I've had with them; I'm glad that I select them.
