"Victor had to remove the wall cabinet & the toilet in order to remove the wall behind them & gain access to the area behind the fireplace. He installed all new Rockwool insulation, dry walled the exterior wall, installed a new semi-rigid air intake pipe, re-dry walled & mud the bathroom wall, painted that wall and the two adjoining walls with two layers of paint & then re-hung the wall cabinet & the toilet. Victor was on-time, efficient & a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail & quality of workmanship is unsurpassed. Nothing looks like it was ever touched or worked on. Victor took precautionary measures and protected all the floors with taped covering & cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I couldn't have asked for a better job. He is top notch in dry walling & painting. I'd hire him again in a split second. Thanks again Victor for an outstanding job, well completed."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Linda and Bob were both great to work with! Bob recommended the best way to approach filling in the windows (with a wire and cement) and then a layer of stucco on top to match the rest of the house. The work went well and the final result was fantastic. The only difference between Bob's work and the rest of the house was the color was brighter because it was clean and the rest of the wall wasn't. Thanks again guys!"

Small jobs welcome

"Was told it would take 2-3 days. They were done in 1 1/2 days. Work done makes a world of difference to the overall appearance of a brick wall in a courtyard downtown Zionsville. Curtis and his team worked wonders!!!"

"Mr. Whyde is very knowledgeable in his trade. He clean 1 of our chimneys and we will have him back to do the other. He noticed immediately what we already knew, which was the fire walls need replaced. He gave us a fair estimate and we had him do that about a week later. We were very happy with his quality and attention to detail and his cleanliness. We would recommend him to family and friends. Kimberly & Mark Wilcoxen"

"fantastic topnotch company! Colin the owner and his crew are honest, hardworking and pay attention to detail. this is the 2nd house we have used them for backyard retaining walls and design. once for a ravine with railroad ties and this week for a huge rock retaining wall 4 ft tall, 130 ft long. they tore down an old wall and designed a new one with natural looking stone with various sizes with drainage system. they also took time to grade and clean up yard. The wall is stunning and the company is outstanding. will use them for complete landscape design."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.

Small retaining walls still require a foundation of some kind, typically a concrete footing. This helps to ensure the wall is structurally sound and prevents the ground from shifting over time, especially during those winter freeze/thaw cycles. The footing helps spread the weight of the wall and the load it carries over a larger area of the ground, thus assisting with stability. This is true of small retaining walls, larger rock garden walls, and the like.

If you've decided you'd like to skip the cost of restoring a brick exterior wall after considering whether you should repair or replace brick on your house, you can consider installing fiber cement siding over brick for a cost of $2 to $6 per square foot. When done properly, cement siding over brick offers a durable, low-maintenance option that can actually reduce your home's energy costs. It's also attractive. However, improper installation or installation over heavily compromised brick can cause water damage.

Proper design and construction prevent erosion and add structural stability to landscapes.

Yes, you can use cinder blocks for many purposes, including retaining walls, foundations, garage walls, and fences. Building a cinder block retaining wall costs between $60 and $200 per linear foot, including materials and professional labor. For a 30-foot-long retaining wall, the cost ranges from $1,800 to $6,000.
