"Paul did some minor drywall repair after we fixed a plumbing leak. He repainted the ceiling and the kitchen. Separately he repainted our front porch including stabilizing a porch post that had some rot at the base. Paul and his crew were polite, efficient, professional, and did excellent work. Everything was thoroughly repaired and prepared rather than just putting a pretty face over it. We were always informed of our options, what would happen, and when. We have no hesitation about recommending them."

"Don was great to work with.  He always returned calls promptly and was always professional. They completed the main roof job in one day and did a great job.  There were a few minor issues with some raised shingles and the gutters , but when I called Don, he had someone here right away to correct the problems.  Don even came back after all the work was completed to replace a couple pieces of siding for us, just for the trouble of us having to call about minor shingle issues. We could not have been happier with the quality of the work, and the great customer service.

"We had to follow up a few times with the company, but the service was performed and I was happy with the work.  They did call back after I left messages letting me know they did have a piece of equipment that needed repair; this did put them behind during a busy season.  The owner(s) were apologetic and very friendly on the phone.  We would use them again."

"It went great! Joe, the owner, was very responsive to what I needed done and when I needed it done. He was very helpful with suggestions about tile choice. His installer, Steve, did a fantastic job. He was very good at explaining things, and getting the tile installed perfectly. They were very pleasant and respectful of my home. The price charged was very fair and the work completed was done quickly and the tile looks great! Would definitely hire TilePro again!"

"

John and his coworker were on time every day and worked diligently to complete the job in the proposed amount of time. They were very conscious of work debris and put down floor covering to protect the halls and area surrounding the work. They consulted with me on paint color, tile, and fixtures. There were a couple of instances where we asked them to move the lighting over the medicine cabinet, and the medicine cabinet came loose and a strip of trim needed to be re-nailed, but all of these things they addressed promptly and with good attitude, always asking us if anything else needed attention to be sure to call.  We have not had any issues since they completed the work last October.

Playground Equipment questions, answered by experts

Wood, metal, and plastic are common materials. Choose based on durability, aesthetics, and maintenance needs.

Children can become interested in playset activities as young as two years old, and many start to lose interest between ages nine and 12. Backyard playsets can grow and adapt as the children age and playtime interests change.

It may be tempting to DIY the construction of a swing set to save money, but we don’t recommend it. Since children will use the swing set, the entire system must be solid and safe, meaning the cost savings aren’t worth potentially endangering them. Plus, most DIYers will have to build their swing sets out of wood, which won’t last as long as metal or vinyl and introduces the risk of splinters. Instead, hire a local playground equipment installer to ensure the swing set is built safely and efficiently, setting up your kids for fun for years to come.

You can start by finding playground installers in your area that have amassed mostly positive reviews online. Next, search for the companies on the Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) website to see if any consumer complaints have been filed. Once you rule out companies with poor reviews and a history of complaints, contact the remaining options and ask the following questions to find the right installer for you:

  • Will you pull permits if required?

  • Do you offer a warranty?

  • How long do you expect the installation to take?

  • Do you have experience working with the specific playground material I want?

The cost of the materials to build a DIY playground will run you about $700 to $1,000, which could vary based on the type of lumber you choose to use. On the other hand, buying a pre-made playset costs $1,000 to $6,500 or more, and if you choose to have it professionally installed, you’ll pay an additional $330 to $700.
