Customers say: Quality work

"We hired Keith to remodel our master bathroom. The Process: Keith came over about 1-2 months in advance to measure, discuss our options and to provide a quote. He gave us some ideas and he explained the costs and benefits of each choice. He gave us ideas but was careful to let the ultimate decision be ours. We went back and forth on exactly what we wanted and he was flexible in amending the quote based on our changes. He briefly explained his commitments during the process as well such as,he would be respectful of the rest of our house by using drop cloths and fans to keep the mess contained. He would clean up at the end of each day, he would only work on 1 job at a time. He would enlist the help of 1 person but no other work would be subcontracted out. Preparation: The quote included the list of materials we needed to purchase and some of the major items that would be included in the quote. Keith was available by text as we went shopping for the items that we needed to pick out. He was helpful and patient during this process and explain things to me as I was unfamiliar with what materials would be best. The Remodel: Keith contacted us before the start and confirmed a start time. We were home for the beginning of the project but after the first day we provided him free access to our home each day. I never felt uncomfortable with this decision. Each evening we had a chance to look over the progress. True to his word the worksite was tidy all the tools and supplies were cleaned up each day. He worked quickly and efficiently each day. Periodically he would contact us with questions or to address any concerns but other than that he worked very effectively without our involvement. With projects such as these we prepared ourselves for occasional disappointments but we were delighted with how our expectations were exceeded time and time again. Small things like adding an outlet, repairing a dent in the drywall or adding caulk in a crack were not requested but a welcome surprise. Final Product: The remodel exceeded our expectations in every way. Keith kept each commitment and finished the job in the quoted timeline. It was a pleasure to work with someone who takes pride in their work."

"This is our second project in three years with Centennial. The first renovation of 1/2 the house went so well we invited them back to complete the job. We now have a fully restored home that truly reflects the vision we communicated to Brent Ash and his team. I highly recommend Centennial if you are considering updating your current house or building a new."

Customers say: Quick response

"Andy and team remodeled our kitchen as well as built a bathroom for us in our basement. I wanted to wait a little while before leaving a review to confirm the quality of work. Years later everything is still great and no issues. Andy was flexible and professional during the whole construction project, we appreciated the attention to detail and considerations his team gave to our family."

"Project started on January 29th and thought it was completed in two days. looked beautiful. Screws/Nala came through the bedroom wall. Easy fix. Shower kept dropping. Took several Tries and finally a new shower head resolved the problem. One of the biggest problems was a lek that caused a hold to develop in the kitchen ceiling. This fix took a long time because the contractor had other jobs to do before he could complete the fix. We also took the entire month off in March. The repair never got done until Friday the 11th of March. Had to call several times to get the repair done but itv seems good at this time."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

You can cut food on tough, scratch-resistant granite countertops. However, these hard surfaces can quickly dull your knife blades, and continual cutting in the same spot can eventually lead to marks forming and compromising the protective sealant. As with any countertop material, it’s always best to use a chopping board.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface countertops can be cut with standard woodworking tools like a circular saw or a jigsaw, but using the correct blade is crucial for the best results.

The recommended blade is a tungsten carbide-tipped blade, often called a solid-surface planer or triple chip grind blade. This type of blade is hard enough to cut through the material effectively. For a jigsaw, a fine-tooth down-cutting blade should be used.

It is important to note that a diamond blade is not necessary. Diamond blades are designed for harder materials like natural stone, concrete, or brick, and Corian is not a natural stone.

Using blades designed for wood is not recommended as they can cause microfractures that weaken the countertop's edges. While a tungsten carbide blade provides a much cleaner cut, the resulting edge will still be rough and must be sanded and smoothed to prevent microfractures from developing over time.

Onyx countertops are naturally porous, absorbing liquids and staining easily without proper care. Regular sealing every 6 to 12 months is essential to keep them looking their best. Daily maintenance includes wiping up spills immediately and avoiding harsh cleaners or acidic substances that can etch the surface.

Engineered stone is nonporous, unlike natural stone, and does not need to be sealed. You do not have to worry about etching or bacterial growth. It is more durable than natural stone and concrete, as well as highly heat resistant. Engineered stone is easy to clean and maintain. You can wipe it down with warm water and soap. Use a non-scratch scrub pad for stains and avoid any harsh cleaners. Engineered stone can even be eco-friendly, with some manufacturers using waste byproducts or organic resins.

There are a few ways to remove calcium buildup in your pipes, but the most natural option involves vinegar, baking soda, and boiling water. To use this method, pour 1/2 cup of vinegar down the drain you're trying to clear, then follow it up with 1/2 cup of baking soda. Place a rag over the drain to create a light seal and leave it for 30 minutes. Remove the rag, then pour a pot of boiling water into the drain. After the water drains, wipe everything down with a sponge.
