"All 3 times we had him come out, Eli has done an excellent job! He is always very polite and courteous, gets the work done quickly (but correctly) and always cleans up any mess when he is finished. We have been quite pleased with the installations of all of our lighting fixtures and fans. We also felt that the pricing was reasonable for what we had done. If we ever need any additional lighting fixtures installed or other electrical work, we would definitely hire them again (and request Eli)."

"The communication was an issue. Some of the things we discussed in the walk-through estimate, were mentioned in the final contract. He said he would take down light fixtures for painting the ceiling, which is one example, and he did not complete that to my knowledge. Overall, I was pleased with the quality. The drywall was pitted and he was able to smooth it and paint it. The price was also fair."

"Terrific. Electrician worked with the existing line right at the cut. Even though there was no slack and minimal wire to work with on one side before it went through floor. I was never approached with "better" or more expensive options. And the work was performed quickly."

"George, the installer, his wife and father-in-law did a great job! They were very professional, kind, and I love my backsplash! They went above and beyond and added new electrical plates for me and suggested adding a few tiles in an area that I hadn’t thought about, but very much appreciate them doing....gave it a finished look. I would use them again and recommend their services."

"So the guys came and put in the door. No wood left for me to try to match stain to and none provided by Matt as promised, and as mentioned in earlier review. Now found out when we went to stain doors that there was a pretty big gap left at the top between the new door frame and the wall, thus anything such as cold air, etc. could get in. Not only that but on the side, the shims that they put in were there and never caulked. Also, the top piece of trim around the new door was loose already and we have hardly used the door. Not very pleased with this and feel that Matt thought I was a dumb because I am a woman and treated me as if I knew nothing. I needed the wood that they had as not all wood takes stain the same way, as I tried to tell Matt, but he would not get the wood to me as promised. Feel that he promised great service and did not deliver. Would not use again."

"It was great! Feinberg Construction worked with Pioneer Kitchens to renovate our kitchen. We were highly impressed not only with Mr. Feinberg's professionalism and dedication, but also with the care taken by everyone who was involved in the project -- drywall, flooring, and tile installers, plumbers, electricians, painters, etc. Mr. Feinberg stayed on top of the project from beginning to end, and communication was paramount. We heartily recommend this company and would definitely contact Feinberg Construction for any work needed in the future."

"They did a great job. Jim came out and gave us an estimate and explained what they would do. We were waiting for some other work to be done, and they were able to work into our schedule. They arrived on time and completed the work quickly. Most importantly, they were able to match the texture of the existing wall, and made it look perfect. They did a great job cleaning up and not leaving a mess. We will certainly use them again."

"They were dependable and professional while they were at the house. They are very quick to respond as we had some problems with the chimney after the work was done, and they came right out to repair it. We are happy with the work and the results. I would use this company again in the future."

"In the two hours I had Mike here, he was able to do several small jobs that had accumulated ranging from installing a new porch light and mailbox, installing a sliding drawer under my sink, installing an electric cord cover in my hallway and several small tasks ranging from hanging pictures to changing a light bulb I couldn’t reach. Mike arrived slightly early, listened to my instructions and offered several good suggestions on future projects I am wanting done. I will definitely use his services again."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

The housing for high-quality recessed lighting can last a lifetime. But how long the bulbs last depends on the type you choose. LED lights are the most common and tend to last the longest, often 30,000 to 40,000 hours. Compare that to incandescent bulbs, which only last for 1,000 hours or so.

Generally speaking, you can install one recessed light for every 4 to 6 square feet. A 12x12 room is 144 square feet, which would need 24 to 36 recessed lights. The wattage you use for the light bulbs and the height of your ceilings can also impact the number of recessed lights you need for a 12x12 room.

An exterior lighting professional will normally be able to complete hardwired lighting installation in a day or two, depending on the size of the project, and they can install battery-powered or solar-powered lights in just a few hours. DIYing the project will often take a bit longer, but you can typically install battery- or solar-powered exterior lighting in a single weekend.

The cost of a chandelier often ranges from $100 to $4,500. Your total cost will be determined by the design of the chandelier and the materials used. The more intricate the design, the more you’ll end up paying.

Projection spotlights offer an alternative (or addition) to Christmas lights. You simply plug in the projection and aim it at the side of your house or garage and watch the lightshow happen.
