Owner operated. No subs. Cost is determined by the job. Travel charge may apply. Please contact by phone for any inquiries 317-255-8453

"Gil is amazing. I called him around 7 on a Friday night and he answered immediately. He was very nice, professional and fixed my lamp. He didn’t charge me as much as I expected! He got it done the same day and had it ready when it was picked up! I offered to leave the shades with him but he said no because he didn’t want to accidentally break them. Very nice man. He answers the phone immediately and gives clear and precise directions. I would definitely hire him again!!"

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. Bedell is a certified, bonded and insured home services company that provides full service, plumbing, excavation, heating/cooling and remodeling services. We have been family owned for more than 28 years and continue to invest our assets to take care of our customers, employees and communities. We take pride in our work and are driven by our values of Trust, Dependability and Quality. Our service areas cover (not limited to) Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Zionsville, Plainfield, Franklin, Greenwood, Beech Grove, New Palestine, Avon, Plainfield, Brownsburg, Greenfield, Shelbyville and McCordsville. Our collective experience over 150 years has helped us build a loyal customer base that consists of single family homes, apartments, property management and warranty companies as well as small commercial buildings.

"We hired Bedell to install a ductless mini-split heating/cooling unit. The installation went smoothly, at a fair price. Within a month and a half, the unit's indoor head unit's coils started to freeze over and it no longer cooled the room. Bedell's team came out and tested the refrigerant pressure, which was very low, and recharged the refrigeration. No further diagnostic or leak testing done on this visit, despite a loss of refrigerant. Within a few weeks, we experienced the same problem (very little cooling and frozen over coils in the head unit). During their second trip out, they identified a leaky refrigerant-line flange attached to the head unit. They tightened the flange and recharged the unit. Three days later, same problem, except the entire head coil was frozen over after a running the system in cooling mode for an hour. It seemed like they made the problem worse. I scheduled another repair visit, which they blew off completely, without notifying me. I scheduled a second visit, which they blew off completely. When I called the lead HVAC technician, he told me that the owner had cut me off from service...that the installation had become "a thorn in their side." And that's the last I heard from them. I hired another company to inspect and repair the system. They immediately identified that the flange had been installed incorrectly and was leaking wildly. The tech's leak detector sounded like a Geiger counter at ground zero in Chernobyl upon entering the room! Before he even approached the system. They diagnosed and properly fixed the flange. I'm out an additional $1000, but at least now I have a system that works, and an HVAC company I can trust."

"Northern Comfort System installed Heather in my rental property on December of 2022 and in March of 2023 the heather stopped working due to supposed water sensor failure. I have contacted Northern Comfort to repair the unit ASAP as cold weather was approaching, and was told that this will be fixed 4 day later as the part was not available meaning needed to be shipped. In recap the unit was 10K and it stopped working after 3 months... After calling and sending messages how disappointed I was with the service the technician who told my renters he will fix this in 4 days he came back next day to try some other fixes that didn't work. He brought 2 radiator heaters to help heat 5 bedrooms 3000sqf house that was already cold. I went and bough 6 additional electric heathers ($500) to help my renters stay warm. On Monday the tech. came out and midshaft fix the heather as it was not the water sensor but the electric panel of the unit (that they don't have on hand again), so we are waiting for part. The tech didn't call nor text to provide me with an update on the situation, but he send invoice what part need to be ordered. This is a cluster as this business have 24h operation with no parts on hand. I could have new heather unit from other company in 24h installed yet I needed to wait on part that wasn't even the problem and still waiting on the part that was/is. Maybe a correct root cause analysis would help here? Either way I am not happy, as were my renters living for 3 days in in house with no heath. It takes 50 years to build reputation and only 5 sec to ruin it. I will not do business with Northern Comfort aging."

Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

It depends. Use the “50% rule” to help you decide. For example, you should consider replacing the appliance if it is halfway through its lifespan and the repair will cost more than 50% of the price of a new one. Contrary to popular belief, repairing a major appliance is more wallet-friendly than purchasing a new one. While the cost of new home appliances can run as high as $8,000, the average cost to repair them is $170. If the appliance you’re trying to get rid of isn’t too old, consult a local appliance repair expert to see what can be done to restore it.

When it’s time to dispose of your old AC unit, first make sure a pro helps you recover any refrigerant left in the system, per federal law (the Clean Air Act), according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Check with your city’s waste management department, or ask the retailer you purchased the new AC unit from if they take old units for recycling. Another option is to check for a Recycling Facilities Servicing partner of the EPA. These facilities are trained for proper refrigerant removal and AC unit disposal.

No, you should not run two refrigerators on the same circuit as it is likely to overload the circuit and cause the breaker to trip or worse—cause an electrical fire. Each standard-size refrigerator should be on a dedicated 20-amp circuit. You should never plug a refrigerator into an extension cord or power strip as it can cause serious safety hazards. Refrigerators have built-in surge protection that safeguards them from the damage of power surges.

Unless you’re a professional chef, pro-level appliances are probably not worth it. The price difference can be anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000 for a higher-end, pro set of appliances, while fully-loaded, energy-efficient mass-market models will likely have everything you need to cook everything from cassoulets to crepes.

HVAC systems use the most household electricity. This major and essential system is responsible for heating and cooling your home all year round. Since they operate for a significant amount during the day, it consumes more energy than other appliances.
