I sent a web request to Duncan Appliance in May about my Asko Dishwasher repair (they were the approved service company). I did not hear back so I called in June and they found my web request and apologized for not getting back with me. They then made an appointment for July 15. The service rep came out and listed all the parts needed to repair and verified they were available. I texted him 2 days later (per his request) and said we wanted to move forward. After 6 weeks I called to find out why they had not repaired. They said there was no order and it was just showing as an open estimate in the system....translation nothing happened. They called the service tech but he did not remember the parts needed and lost all the info. They finally called me back on 9/23 with the answer of "you just need to buy a new dishwasher". How about that for customer service. I could have bought a new dishwasher in May...now it is late September. I am very disappointed. I also called on 9/21 and asked Mr. Duncan to call me about it but he did not. He just had the service tech call me with the "news".

Duncan Appliances went above and beyond in trying to make my Samsung fridge work properly. Brad replaced several defective parts over a period of several months, making return service calls, but none of these solved the problem. Because Samsung no longer gave good tech help, they had to stop servicing Samsung. But because I had paid a lot for the parts, and the fridge still didn't work, I was refunded everything that I had paid. They really did their best to solve the unsolvable problem (long out of warranty), and I can't thank them enough for their top-notch efforts. I have used this company in the past, and they have always provided excellent, reliable service.

Our convection oven was making an unusual noise. Steve came out, took it apart, and fixed it. While he was here, he diagnosed an issue with a gas burner and ordered the parts to fix that too. He also ordered a new part for our dishwasher to replace one that was deteriorating. He always takes the time to explain what caused the problem and to show us how and why the repair corrects it.

Whole process went smoothly. Appointment time, notification before arrival, answered questions, and reasonable rate to fix my (old) dryer. Parts were on truck. He also cleaned interior and did a little preventive checking along the way. This is a fridge magnet I'm saving!

The service tech Tony O, was very professional and replaced the belt in short order. The charges for parts and labor were very reasonable. Most of the cost was for the $88 charge for the service call.

It was $100 cheaper than the first call I made to another company. They replaced parts and actually fixed the problem which the first company was not able to do, so I was very happy.

Steve Duncan is a great guy, and truly professional in his service approach, as is Trina, his office manager. He has repaired major appliances for us a couple of times over the years...and, he'll freely tell you if you're better off to repair or replace. He recently diagnosed our refrigerator problem quickly (control module) and was able to install the new part the next day...all at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Duncan Appliance to anyone experiencing major appliance problems.

Technician was prompt, courteous and found problem quickly. Replacement motor had to be special ordered. As promised, he returned with new motor in a couple of days. Work was completed quickly. Would definitely use thei service again.

They got here when they said they would and quickly diagnosed that a replacement pump I had installed was the European part at 220v. The repairman was super honest and helpful and only charged me a small amount telling me the part number to order and that I had done everything right but installed the wrong part. How can you ask for more? I've learned my lesson and will now call these guys first from now on.

I know Mr. Duncan doesn't need another "A" rating, since he has close to 800 already, but I have to put my two cents in. IF you want something fixed CORRECTLY and by a professional who knows what he is doing, call Duncan Appliance Service. I am a property manager who has used Mr. Duncan and his team several times and they always hit the mark and fix what is wrong. Other contractors have actually been rude to me and haven't even bothered to call me to say they wern't coming. NOT Mr. Duncan. He knows what it takes to give efficient AND effective service to those of us who know nothing about large appliances. A+++

Steve diagnosed the problem very quickly as a design flaw in the freezer unit. He had seen the same flaw in other freezers made by the same manufacturer and repaired it using materials he had on hand. He charged us only for the service call and his time, no charge for the part. And in my opinion he undercharged us for his time. We have engaged Steve for many years to repair all of our appliances and his work has always been excellent and very reasonably priced. He has saved us money many times. We did have a problem with punctuality a few years ago and tried other service providers after that, but decided to go back to Steve this time due to his expertise and reasonable rates. We were very pleased to see that the earlier matter did not come up at all this time. He still gave us top-notch service. He also explained very clearly and in some detail both the design flaw and his remedy. We will call him without hesitation the next time we have a problem with any major appliance.

It was a good decision to go this direction. The serviceman was professional and knowledgeable. It was a boutique job that took several hours after the parts arrived from a special order. I saved several thousand dollars by not buying a new grill.

The replacement part was expensive and I considered just replacing the dryer but the repair man reminded me that no matter what, I had to pay him for his service fee ($89?) although he had been there for 10 minutes and it was likely cheaper to repair it. I agreed but I thought the service visit fee was high. Shame on me for not asking before I hired.
