No. Carpenter ants range far when seeking out food, usually proteins or sugars. They may be attracted to dead pests near your house, or crumbs in the kitchen or pantry. Many roaches can have 100 to over 200 offspring during their lifespan.

Squash bugs don’t bite humans or pets. Their piercing-sucking mouthparts are designed specifically for feeding on plants, not people. While they can be a major nuisance in the garden, they pose no direct physical threat to you, and you don’t need to worry about bites, stings, or venom from these pests.

Carpet beetles don’t seek shelter in mattresses like bed bugs do, but there still may be sources of food, like the fabric of your sheets and blankets, that attract carpet beetles. Because these pests munch on plant-based materials, you could still find one in your bed as it’s searching for food.

We recommend using diatomaceous earth to create roach repellent barriers outdoors. Most oil and spray applications will quickly wear down in outside weather, so they aren’t as much use  in the outdoors. If you are really struggling with an outdoor roach problem, we suggest looking for pet-safe bait traps you can set.
