"James has a wonderful personality and is very easy to relate to. He has done several projects for me, the hardest being able to rid my closet where the water softener had to be installed of black mold. He was also able to install a ring doorbell to my electric wiring and between my screen door and stone front. James also installed a heavy duty door between my family room and garage and installed a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. He installed hand grips to a step down and was able to match the color to the woodwork. He finished by doing some electrical work and minor repairs around the house that were needing done. I highly recommend James and am happy to give him a five star rating!"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

You can avoid pool collapse—known as pool pop in an inground pool—if you follow the instructions on how to drain your pool safely. Wait for a temperate, dry day and slowly remove the water with a sump pump, hose, or the attached drains and hydrostatic plugs.

The best way to kill off an algae bloom in an aboveground pool is to shock it with a large dose of chlorine. Shock typically kills off algae in about one to three days, although it can take longer if the pool water is in poor condition. After the shock treatment, add algaecide to prevent algae from growing back, and test the water every few days with test strips to ensure the pool’s pH doesn’t get out of whack.

It depends. Your pool might need chlorine every day if the water is exposed to direct sunlight and you use your pool frequently. UV light and constant use will deplete chlorine levels more rapidly. Test your water regularly to see where your levels sit and adjust accordingly. Generally speaking, most homeowners need to add chlorine following a water chemical test about one to three times per week.

Common problems include liner tears, pump malfunctions, and algae buildup. Regular maintenance prevents many issues.

You can spend less time and money on plunge pool maintenance since they are smaller than standard pools. These pools are easier to clean and maintain yourself than a swimming pool. But like any pool, you’ll need to clean the pool walls and floor, balance the chemicals, check the electrical equipment, make necessary repairs, etc.
