Their mobile showroom is really nice as we were able to actually see and touch their products. Great communication, great work ethic, no complaint here. We will definitely hire them again. They went right to work repairing several holes in the smooth plaster of my kitchen ceiling where devices had been removed and where a previous workman had stepped through my ceiling from the attic. The plastering job was so well done that there is no trace of it. They returned the following day to paint.
The only problem was that the painter was using some generic paint was unlabeled and he didn't know exactly what the finish would be. I had specifically requested (both on the phone and that morning) that the finish be like the existing semi-gloss or satin. It turned out that the finish was flat. When I notified the owner of this, he was extremely willing to come back and repaint the ceiling, even though, I said "nevermind". He insisted because he wanted me to be completely satisfied. So the next day the two workman returned to repaint the ceiling. I declined because I had guests coming and it seemed like too much trouble.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the workmanship, I can't imagine a better quality job. I felt the expense was high, but you get what you pay for and the best is expensive."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/anderson/dennis-mallernee-painting-and-plastering-inc-reviews-274964.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Walt Harding Construction","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Carolyn E."},"reviewBody":"His work and that of his associates was very good. There was some work that had to wait while flooring and cabinets were installed by other company's. Finish work did not occur. Appliance installation did not occur so we had to hire some of his coworkers to get to get that done. They caused a water leak and their subsequent repair was shoddy. We have tried repeatedly to call to get someone back to do the finish work. He first said that he was busy. Now he just doesn't answer the phone. He won't give and exact bid or time schedule. He did want to be paid all at once on his word that he would finish when the other work was finished. We are out of state. He just took advantage of us. When I removed the OLD deck I found the slope of the concrete was wrong and water pooled at one spot by the deck. I also found the main electrical wire was above ground under the deck and it was indoor instead of underground cable. I'm having a new patio poured so the electrical needed to be buried not only for aesthetics but also for code reasons. I contacted several contractors for estimates. Trace was the only one who came up with a solution that did not interfere with the patio being poured. His estimate was in line with the other contractors but their solution would have cost more in coordination with the concrete contractors. Trace was very accommodating and helpful. He was always onetime and returned calls promptly. I am VERY satisfied with his work and will hire him again when I need electrical work done in the house. I would highly recommend him."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/anderson/matrix-electric-reviews-2909039.htm"},"position":10}]}
Concrete Finishing reviews from real Angi homeowners in Lapel, IN
We wanted to make our small existing 10x12 patio bigger so we have more outdoor living space. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted to do but just knew it was too small for us. Decorative Edge Curving helped us with the design of the new patio extension so it won't be a boring rectangular...

"They replaced sections of our sidewalk and driveway apron. They were prompt and the work looks great. Pricing was fair. They only complaint is they promised to level out the dirt displaced when removing and leveling the sidewalk and did not. They were also a bit sloppy and got globs of concrete on the asphalt driveway that was left to dry."

Concrete Finishing questions, answered by experts
Weighing the pros and cons of stamped concrete can help you decide if spending the higher upfront cost is worth it for your concrete project. One of the most sought-after benefits of stamped concrete is the customization aspect—you get to choose the color, borders, and intricate patterns. Additionally, stamped concrete is a more affordable option than pavers or brick.
On the other hand, stamped concrete needs to be resealed every two to three years and costs more than regular concrete to install. And unless you’re a DIY pro, this is not a project to tackle on your own.
To change the color of your cinder blocks, you have two options. You can either paint them or stain them. Either way, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of color options. Some popular colors for cinder block painting include off-white shades and gray tones, which add a modern spin to the traditional gray blocks.
Properly prepared and applied concrete resurfacing can last from 10 to 15 years. The longevity of resurfaced concrete depends on proper preparation as well as the fundamental condition of the original concrete. Depending on the application used to resurface the concrete, reapplying a protective sealer every two to three years can extend the life of the new concrete surface.
As a general rule of thumb, allow 24 hours for penetrating sealers to cure and at least 48 hours of drying time for most topical sealers. Always check the instructions for the sealing product you’re using to determine the drying time.
The life span of stamped concrete is about 25 years. However, it may last shorter or longer, depending on how well you maintain it.
