Member of midwest regional turf foundation. Member of the indiana professional lawn and landscaping assoc.

"They completely removed the old grass and re-seeded it. And it looks gorgeous, people passing really appreciate it nicely and some people would even stop and ask who did my lawn, and inquire the contact information so they can call them for lawn services. We have used them at times for lawn maintenance and care services. And then we had them redo same service for our Backyard Lawn, and its coming in nicely, it really looking good. I highly recommend them, I have actually recommended them already to other people."

80 +/- employees. Cost is determined by the job. Sub-contractors used on select projects. Earl and Dorothy Knapp started Sundown Gardens in 1949 by specializing in growing peonies and perennials for retail sales. They grew and cultivated plant material as cut flowers for purchase. In 1966, Stevan Knapp, Earl and Dorothy’s only child, started the landscape division. To complete the full-service lawn and garden package, Sundown Gardens offered a landscape maintenance service in 1993. The service provides landscaping, hardscape and lawn services. To this day, the service customizes groundskeeping plans for client properties primarily throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas, including but not limited to: Zionsville, Carmel, Westfield, Fishers and Geist. In 1995, Dorothy and Stevan retired and a few long-standing employees took leadership of the company. The current owners, along with a dedicated team of knowledgeable and skilled experts, continue the Sundown Gardens tradition of expert knowledge coupled with quality installation and top-tier customer service. In January 2016 Sundown Gardens moved to its new location at: 505 West 186th Street, Westfield, IN 46074, at the corner of Springmill Road and 186th Street. "Nate and Phil were knowledgeable and helpful in helping us select Norway Spruce and Red Pointe Maples for our landscaping. Clayton and Tomas were excellent on the installation, ensuring everything met our expectation and satisfaction. They took care not to damage anything, and explained what they were doing and why. We will not hesitate to use them again."

*ASK US ABOUT OUR FREE TERMITE INSPECTION ($50 value)* I have nearly 20 years in the home construction field with a plumbing background. Before starting "Wren House Inspection LLC" in March of 2013, I inspected homes for another highly rated local inspection company in Indianapolis. My goal is to build this business one satisfied client at a time. I enjoy my work and I strive to make my clients feel comfortable with their home inspection. I encourage my clients to attend the inspection to better learn about the home and any issues. Rest assured in knowing that you will only be dealing with the me, the owner, throughout your home inspection process. Sample reports are available upon request. Feel free to call or text me now at 317-339-1032

"Overall, Brent was fantastic. While inspecting our 100-year-old home that we had just purchased in Meridian Kessler, he also made time to educate us on tasks that we should do on a monthly/bi-yearly basis (filters, water softener, etc.). As first-time home buyers, this was incredibly helpful. He was thorough and found issues on the roof that ultimately saved us thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, the day we moved into the home we had a plumbing issue that was not found on the inspection despite his thorough assessment of both bathrooms. I informed Brent of the situation, and he issued me a full refund. We were not expecting this at all, but it was extremely appreciated and showed exactly how seriously Brent takes customer service. I would recommend him to all of my friends/family and any first time home-buyer due to his fantastic communication, customer service, and thorough review of the property. 10/10."

FAQs for pest control projects in Indianapolis, IN

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:

  • Heat treatments

  • Freezing treatments

  • Traps

  • Barriers

  • Diatomaceous earth

  • Chemical pesticides

  • Fumigation

  • Rodenticides

  • Mechanical devices

  • Repellants

The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.

For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.

There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.

Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.

While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:

  • Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.

  • Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.

  • Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.

  • Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.

  • Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
