Electical Installation and repair

"When a big box store delivered a new electric range for my 94 yr old mother and was unable to install the stove because of electric issues, Ron Dunaway responded within minutes and saved the day. As the previous stove was a built in, Ron and his crew, Jose and Chris, created a space and installed the new stove; as well as adding a new electrical connection. Their work was very professional and we would highly recommend their services due to the prompt response and can-do attitude. I was also very impressed that Ron did not increase his original estimate, even though additional work was required."

Design Elements is a full service interior design and construction company. I have a BA in art and design from Indiana University and am also a licensed general contractor. Our company specializes in creating a custom design for your space, whether a kitchen, bathroom or master bedroom and are equipped with the skills to complete the work necessary to finish the project. We are very hands on and do the majority of the work ourselves such as painting cabinetry, custom tiling, wood floor installation and interior painting to name a few. Having a designer with the ability to be the general contractor saves you money as you pay one person to do two separate jobs but still obtain a quality product. We also offer design consultations for the do-it-yourself person who just needs a nudge in the right direction or a fresh perspective.

A typical repair of an igniter can range from $100 to $150. However, if you need to repair your mantel, expect the bill to be anywhere from $500 to $1,200. Wood fireplaces tend to cost more to repair due to specialized labor costs. Electric fireplaces tend to be the most cost-effective to repair, along with gas.

In addition, gas fireplaces can cost between $2,500 and $10,000.

The cost to remodel your fireplace is $1,200 on average. This cost can range from $400 to $2,000, depending on the extent of work needed.

If you add a hearth to your fireplace, you can expect to pay between $3 and $200 per square foot. However, if you're refacing your fireplace, the price tag will depend on your chosen materials. If choosing tile, you can pay between $1 and $50 per square foot, depending on the design. Stone is a more expensive material, averaging between $60 and $70 per square foot.

The average cost to remove a fireplace is $7,000 but can range from $4,000 to $10,000. Labor costs account for the majority of this price, which can range between $500 and $2,000.
