"I am more than impressed with Evan at Regional. He has been to my house on several occasions (because I request him every time) and has never disappointed me. He is dedicated to his job and puts his all into his work, aside from him being an amazing person overall. "We are pleased with our bath remodel that included a new tub, tub surround and wainscot walls. There was one small problem with the walls due to the ceiling and walls not being plumb however they did go above and beyond by doing more than was was agreed upon by making plumbing improvements, installing a new lighted medicine cabinet and repairing a light fixture. They were very courteous and the installer even made a suggestion for a change that we agreed would be better."

"I spent about three weeks getting quotes because I had heard mixed things about basement waterproofing companies, including Everdry. I?ll be honest, they were not the cheapest option I looked at, and that gave me pause at first. What ultimately made the difference was how thorough the inspection was. The rep didn?t just look at one wall and give a price. They walked the entire perimeter, explained how water was getting in from both outside pressure and inside drainage, and showed me why a partial fix would likely fail over time. Other companies were quoting cheaper, but they were only addressing one part of the problem. I also want to address something I was worried about going in, which was the ?high-pressure sales? reputation you sometimes see online. That wasn?t my experience. It was definitely detailed and direct, but I never felt like I couldn?t take time to think about it or compare options."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

If you notice your main water shut-off valve is leaking, try tightening the valve slightly to see if it stops the leak. If the leak persists or worsens, it’s best to contact a licensed plumber to assess and repair the valve. Using too much force or attempting a DIY repair can further damage the valve.

No, vinegar won't hurt PVC pipes. While vinegar is acidic, it’s not caustic enough to damage PVC. Pouring baking soda and vinegar down your drains is a great DIY solution for clearing minor clogs. If the problem isn’t resolved with vinegar and baking soda, it’s likely time to call in a pro. Avoid using more caustic solutions like drain cleaners, as these will damage PVC pipes, especially if there’s a clog.

The water pipe from your washing machine is one of the many components that can freeze during winter conditions, causing pipes to burst. Frozen water pipes in your washing machine can result in damage to your machine, plus other unfortunate results like flooding and water damage.

Hoses can constrict over time. If water isn't coming out of your garden hose, it might be clogged by dirt, rocks, insect nests, and other debris that can find its way in there. If the weather's been cooler lately, water can freeze inside hoses and create clogs when it doesn't melt fast enough. If the water is hard where you live, minerals can build up in the hose and constrict it further.

For most homeowners, a plumbing inspection costs $100 to $500. It depends on the location, the type of inspection, and the size of your home. A simple visual inspection will cost up to $200, while a camera inspection that checks your underground sewer lines can cost more than $1,000. Nonetheless, this may still be a better option than tearing up your underground plumbing to find the problem.
