Small jobs welcome

"Their team showed up on time and did an excellent job on our insulation. They cleaned up so well that you can’t even tell they were here, except that the house is already warmer. They were polite and the price was right. Highly recommend!"

"George Dryer was very responsive to my initial call for an estimate to add insulation to my attic.  He gave a very competitive quote and worked with me to set up a day for the work to accommodate my schedule.  The crew arrived exactly on time, were very pleasant, efficient, and professional.  The entire job took approximately 5 hours and the quality of the work was excellent.  I would definitely use Eagle again without hesitation and, if fact, will probably have them come back next year to do some work in my crawl space.

"Chris was great to work with. I hired them to blow insulation in my attic. He explained everything that was going to be done and I felt good knowing things were going to be done right and up to code. The cost was also affordable. They came in and weren’t disruptive at all as I was able to continue working in my home office while they were there. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The benefits of insulating your pipes include preventing freezing, sweating, and condensation. In addition, insulating your pipes can make your home more energy-efficient by keeping your pipes from losing or gaining heat. You’ll be able to turn the temperature of your water heater down by two to four degrees Fahrenheit. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, this can reduce energy costs by 3% to 4% per year.

Exposed ductwork can sweat just like ductwork placed behind walls, sometimes even more so. Ductwork sweats—like a cold drink on a hot day—because of a temperature imbalance between the air in the duct and the air in the room. In a crawl space or wall, this temperature can equalize faster due to the small space but in lofts and open rooms, that wouldn’t happen as quickly. Many people insulate their ducts for this reason.

Yes, eco-friendly blown-in insulation options include materials made from recycled cellulose or wool. These offer excellent thermal performance and sustainability, reducing energy consumption and environmental impact while enhancing home efficiency.

Heavily exceeding building code requirements for insulation not only wastes money on materials but can also lead to ventilation and moisture problems. In most cases, the minimum amount of insulation required by code is perfectly adequate.

Asbestos has many beneficial properties, including fire resistance, strength, and chemical resistance. It is also an excellent insulator, which is why it was used in pipe insulation and other building materials for decades. For all its benefits, asbestos is dangerous for human health, which is why it was eventually banned from use in certain products.
