"Their team showed up on time and did an excellent job on our insulation. They cleaned up so well that you can’t even tell they were here, except that the house is already warmer. They were polite and the price was right. Highly recommend!"

"The owner came out and offered a fair estimate. He was polite and thorough. We scheduled an installation date/time and two very polite workers showed up on time and got to work. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves, using a shop-vac on the stairs. You couldn't tell they had been there. Efficient, courteous, and fair price."

"Chris was great to work with. I hired them to blow insulation in my attic. He explained everything that was going to be done and I felt good knowing things were going to be done right and up to code. The cost was also affordable. They came in and weren’t disruptive at all as I was able to continue working in my home office while they were there. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes. Bathroom insulation requires a vapor barrier. As a matter of fact, bathrooms and kitchens are the two areas of the home that should always get a vapor barrier because of the excess moisture. If you don’t have a vapor barrier in place in these rooms, the moisture will build up and eventually lead to mold and bacteria, not to mention the destruction of the insulation.

Yes, insulated vinyl siding increases the R-value of your home. Depending on the quality and brand of the insulated vinyl, you can get an R-value that is up to 5 times greater than traditional vinyl siding. This can be fantastic for homeowners who are trying to lower their utility costs.

Without a doubt, insulating a garage door is a surefire way to make your home more energy efficient. Not only does insulating your garage door reduce your electric bills, but it also helps protect your valuables inside your garage, all while making for a quieter interior space.

In regions that drop below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, your car's battery is at risk of malfunctioning in a garage that drops dangerously low. So, homeowners who reside in extremely cold climates can especially benefit from insulating their garages.

The primary downside of radiant barriers is their limited effectiveness in cold climates. They are designed to reflect radiant heat, making them less beneficial in cooler conditions where heat retention is more important.

Radiant barriers require proper installation to maximize effectiveness. Incorrect placement can lead to minimal benefits. They also do not provide insulation, meaning they should be used in conjunction with traditional insulation for optimal energy efficiency.

A garage ceiling needs a vapor barrier if it’s a heated garage or if you’re installing insulation in the ceiling. Without a vapor barrier, you risk moisture issues and mold growth. If you have an unheated garage and don’t plan on installing insulation that could get wet and harbor mold, the ceiling doesn't need a vapor barrier.
