"I was fortunate to meet and hire Shannon Fields in 2018 to help me get my pond running again.à  à   My pond is about 500 gallons in size and has two waterfalls and many of the water plants à  à  had overgrown in my pond.à  à   Shannonà  à  went to work and pulled out the excessive growths and after sheltering my fish washed all the rocks in the pond and drained a large accumulation of pond debris. He cleaned my pond twice to get all the debris out and filled my pond again with clean water.à  à   By the next day the pond was clear again and the fish were returned to their quarters about 24 hours after the pond was hosed down. The goldfish took to their new quarters right away and 3 à  à ½ years later are still thriving and have reproduced.à  à   My pond continues to be clear and clean.à  à   Shannon made some thoughtful suggestions for redirecting the water flow and advised me on other features I would like to add.à  à   I observed that he works well, always shows up when expected and keeps in touch by cell phone. He cleans up after his work and always puts items back where they came from.à  à   He hasà  à   also done a good job of closing my pond at the end of the season.à  à   His fees are completely reasonable.à  à   I give him 5+ stars.à  à   Very nice person trying to do a good job and very interested in all aspects of pond installation and maintenance. "Tony and his crew cleaned out all my overgrown, weed-choked landscape beds, trimmed shrubs, dug out random plants that needed to be removed, and then mulched everything so it looks clean and inviting. I had a tight deadline and he met it with no issues. Everyone was friendly and hardworking - couldn't ask for a better experience."

"Never contacted us as promised in deal
We had to contact him
Listened well-but then didn't give us very specific ideas for plantings based on what we talked about
Did provide a drawing/plan-but didn't follow up when we asked for adjustments Was very nice and seemed professional but gave us minimal service- not what we thought the deal was for.

"Michael (owner) was awesome to work with! Came by the house three different times, once on a Sunday, to talk through ideas me look at plant options online with my husband and I. Crew showed up exactly when he said they would and finished on time. They cleaned up well and hauled off all debris. Very happy with the final outcome and will be hiring again to complete border around a new privacy fence."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

Yes—septic tank systems are superior to cesspools in every conceivable way. If you’re not able to connect your home to a greater sewage network, a septic tank system and a drain field are great for responsibly disposing of waste. It’s also cheaper to pump a septic tank, easier to find a local septic tank professional than those who work with cesspools, and better for the environment.

Septic tanks naturally have bacteria that break down some of the solid waste in the septic tank. However, sludge buildup is just part of owning a septic system. While liquid wastewater can be filtered and treated through the system, a septic tank company has to pump the septic tank out at least every few years.

Depending on the home, wastewater either goes into a septic tank and seeps back into the backyard or is sent via sewer system to a local sewage-treatment plant. Septic systems naturally separate different components of the waste so that it can naturally and safely disperse it. They are usually reserved for homes not served by a municipal sewage department (like rural homes). A treatment plant, on the other hand, speeds up that process through screening and purification.

The easiest thing you can do to prolong the life of your septic system is to adopt septic-safe practices. This includes not flushing non-biodegradable items, chemicals, or excessive grease down drains and scheduling regular septic tank pumping to prevent buildup. It’s also important to fix plumbing leaks promptly and to practice water conservation to avoid overloading the system. To maintain your drain field, avoid heavy vehicle traffic and plant shallow-rooted vegetation in the area. Most importantly, invest in routine inspections and maintenance to detect and address issues early.

Common signs that a septic tank is full include plumbing issues, odors, and changes in your yard. You may notice wastewater or sewage backing up into your home's drains, or that sinks, tubs, and toilets are draining slowly. Gurgling or bubbling sounds from the pipes are also a key indicator. Outside, you might smell foul sewage odors around your house or the septic tank area. Look for pooling water, spongy soil, or a marshy environment around the drain field. Another tell-tale sign is a patch of grass over the septic system that is suddenly lusher and greener than the rest of your lawn. If you notice any of these signs, you should contact a septic professional for an inspection and pumping.
