"I was planning to clean the sofas & carpet when our kids returned to school. With college and high school students home full time, the daily wear and tear had taken its toll. Unfortunately, one sofa & the carpet were stained by ?, forcing me to seek a cleaner before our time at home had ended. I was very pleasantly surprised with how clean everything looked when Prestigious Carpet Care was finished - one of the stains was very dark, and there is only a very slight (1%?) discoloration now, only noticeable if you know where to look. All odors are gone, and everything looks like new. I would definitely hire Prestigious again, and won't wait for an accident the next time!"

"On 2/16 Steam Master came out to clean our carpets and they refused to clean them. B&C Carpet Care was recommended by our banker. Bob came out and worked 4 hours and did an amazing job. Some of the stains from dog urine did not come out, which was expected. House smells great and floors are amazingly clean.

"James did a quick & efficient job of cleaning the carpet squares, put plastic under all of the furniture legs while it dried & spayed it with a stain resistant spray, per our request, for a slight up charge. They gave us an estimate over the phone beforehand & the cost was exactly that. I would have them again."

"We recently hired this cleaning team for our home, and they did an amazing job from start to finish. The crew was professional, friendly, punctual, and very detail-oriented. They worked efficiently together and made sure every room was spotless. The bathrooms, kitchen, floors, and even hard-to-reach areas were cleaned thoroughly and left looking incredible. What stood out the most was how organized and respectful the team was while working in our home. They paid attention to the small details and made everything feel fresh, clean, and welcoming. It?s clear they truly care about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this cleaning company to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, and high-quality cleaning services. We will definitely continue using them."

I do honest work, whatever it is. I have construction experience, I’m a brick mason, I’ve done carpentry, I patch drywall, I paint, I carry heavy things, I clean, I move things with my truck, and much more.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

The costs range from $3 to $10 per square foot, depending on the carpet type, labor, and subfloor preparation.

Yes, you can technically make a crawl space liveable, but the only way to do so is by converting it into a basement. While some crawl spaces are big enough to walk through and store large items, they lack appropriate insulation and space to be liveable.

If the installer is unwilling to fix the problems and you’re not interested in seeking remediation, you could hide a visually unpleasant floor. This will only work if the floor is structurally sound and the only issue you have is the way it looks. The easiest way to do this is to use large area rugs. You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.

You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

What a buyer prefers usually depends on the home’s layout and which material fits the current aesthetic. The local real estate market can also dictate these desires to some extent, as do the buyer’s personal preferences. With that said, laminate can increase the resale value of a home by a tiny bit, whereas carpet does not. Hardwood increases the resale value by the highest amount.
