"We had an amazing experience all around with this company. They were very friendly to speak with and were very careful of our belongings and our home. We found them easy to work with and they always communicated well. They answered right away to anything we needed. They gave me a time frame of when they would be there and stuck to it. on one of the days they were here, it had snowed overnight, and they brought an extra set of shoes to wear so they didn't damage my home. They covered everything to prevent damage from paint dripping. They covered our wood floors completely, covered the cabinets and any furniture and appliances in the home to prevent anything from getting damaged. They were very thorough and we don't have anything bad to say about them. We have a friend who does painting work as well, and they even commented on how well everything looked. The pricing was very fair considering everything they did and the steps they took to ensure everything was taken care of and not damaged. Again, we do not have any complaints, and would recommend anyone use them. They are worth it."

"We moved to a new home and were looking for a painter on a emergency basis before moving our furniture. Yolis painting services did excellent job on the same day we got estimate and work was done with the highest quality. We hired them for our second home too. Next we will hire them to paint our entire home. I would definitely recommend Yolis painting services."

"Pro Painting and Restoration did a wonderful job. The price quote was very competitive. The interior painting of the ceilings, walls, baseboards, doors, trim, and door jambs turned out great. From sanding, to priming, to 2 coats of paint, it was all done correctly. I highly recommend this company."

"Eddie patched two areas in the ceiling. You cannot tell. He identified additional areas that needed to be repaired (and stayed with the original estimate), carefully inserted the patches, applied multiple layers of joint compound and a layer of tape, patiently allowing the joint compound to dry between each layer, sanded and applied prime paint over the area. He was neat and cleaned up during and after the project was finished. He was honest in his appraisal and sincere in his desire that I be satisfied with the job. Highly recommend him."

Small jobs welcome

"I used Professional Painter for the second time. I hired them in March of 2024 as I stated in the review I posted at the time. Krystian is my painter for life. He arrived everyday on time. Almost every room in my house needed paint refreshing including base boards. After moving in we were left with wall dents and cracks. Krystian never fails he takes pride in his work and my house looks brand new. He loves painting I can tell. He checks each room one by one inspecting the finished product. His rates are very fair. He goes that extra step each time. No mess after he has completed the job. He is very clean and professional. I would use Krystian again in a heart beat. He has never failed to give his best. He is my family painter for life. Try him for yourself, you won't be disappointed."

"Very professional in all aspects and would highly recommend hiring Excellence Painting for any type of paint job. They are prompt and responsive. They listen to how you would like the paint job complete and provide you with an accurate quote. After they are completed with the project they do a walk-thru to ensure you are pleased with the work. They are never in a rush to finish the job. They take their time to ensure the work is profession and meets the customerâ s expectation. We hired them for multiple small-projects around the house and would hire them in a heartbeat."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Professionals use safe, efficient methods that protect surfaces and prepare for new finishes.

Scrape softened caulk with a putty knife or slice hardened caulk with a utility knife. Hard-to-remove caulk generally requires more time exposed to a softening solution, like a commercial product or rubbing alcohol. A few hours to a day later, the softened caulk will come off with the help of common household tools. In many cases, you can grab needle-nosed pliers for caulk with multiple old layers and pull the material off its base.

If you recently splashed paint on the wrong area of a wooden object, remove it with a solvent or caustic paint stripper. Some paint that has yet to dry may be removable by hand with coarse sandpaper or a plastic scraper. Another trick for removing dried-on paint is rubbing a dab of nail polish remover on the paint to remove it, but avoid touching the bare wood surface.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

A traditional German schmear uses mortar, making it unsuitable for adherence to painted surfaces. Professionals recommend removing any existing paint before applying mortar. However, you can rough up the painted surface and clean it to test if the mortar will stick. Remember that the underlying paint's texture and color may affect the schmear's final appearance—so starting with a bare brick wall will ensure the ideal finish.
