We couldn't get our painter that usually comes and we needed someone asap so we called MQ and i will not be going back to our old guy. The boss and workers were so polite, went above and beyond and cleaned the area to perfection. I literately made an account just to leave this review, that's how good they were.

I reached out originally just to get my porch beams repainted, but when MQ came out to complete an estimate they noticed rotting wood and provided a quote to rebuild the facade on the supports, finish and paint. The work they did was excellent. Considering that I didn't originally budget for a job of this size it was well worth the cost to have them do the work. I would hire them again.

Had MQ Painting paint the exterior of my house and garage and could not be happier. Did everything the right way! First came and power washed everything a few days before, then on first day of painting removed all old caulk and re-caulked, plus filled any holes. Gave everything 2 coats and on one part that was stain actually gave 3 coats. Original quote did not include foundation, soffit, gutters, front and rear stairs but Jose added those in at a reasonable price, so had those done too. Also painted chimney at no extra charge, On top of all this they completed the job in 2 days. Could tell from first time I had Jose come out to give me a quote he was very knowledgeable and passionate about his business and painting, which I really liked. I would not hesitate to recommend MQ Painting to anybody. I guarantee you will be happy with the quality of work and price you'll receive from MQ Painting.

MQ Painting was very professional in every aspect of the work they completed for us. They power washed every surface prior to painting. All surfaces were sanded or scraped as needed. Two coats of stain we applied to all surfaces. The garage doors were stripped, stained and varnished. The deck railings were completely replaced and painted on a very large deck. Originally, Jose thought only a portion of the railing spindles needed to be replaced. As the job proceeded it was apparent that all spindles and railing wood needed to be replaced. The only additional charge was for the materials, not for labor even though every spindle needed to be individually cut from larger pieces of lumber. MQ was the only painting contractor who bid on our paint job who was willing to do all the woodwork repairs needed on the deck. Other contractors said we'd need to have someone repair the deck and then they would paint it. We appreciated working with just one contractor. Their painting and carpentry work was top notch. All workers were neat, punctual and conscientious. All materials and tools were picked up and stored at the end of every work day. I discovered MQ Painting through Angie's List. I highly recommend MQ Painting and would absolutely hire them again.

Awesome experience; Jose was very responsive and showed us a lot of paint samples until we got exactly what we wanted. Showed up on time and finished early. His crew was hard working and very careful of not damaging anything. Cleaned up everything too. Will definitely use them again.

Didn’t go at all!!! I left a message on Angie’s List seeking an estimate and MQ Painting never responded. I finally called them and made an appointment. The guy never even showed up and when I texted him he said he was stuck in traffic in Chicago!!!! I told him a phone call or a text would’ve helped!!! Don’t do business with this company they’re irresponsible

Jose did an excellent job for us at a great price. His team even installed our new exterior wall light fixtures ( a challenging install).

Jose and his team were great. Very professional and friendly, and the newly stained deck looks awesome. They pressure washed one day and came back to sand and put two coats on in one day. We’ll see how it holds up but I feel good about it.

Excellent work, cleaned up everything. Friendly good crew. Highly recommend. Also ceiling repair was tricky and they came back to make sure it was perfect, and it was. You would never know there was any damage.

Extremely well. Punctual, neat and tidy, great attention to detail, outstanding quality. Did all prep work, including repairing siding, removing shutters, and caulking very efficiently and thoroughly. A bit pricey, but the result made it worth it.

Jose is a man in demand! He is professional and efficient with time. He mans a crew of up to 8 guys and they work together like a well played symphony!

My house looks great. I would hire Jose again. There was a lot more rotted wood on my house than I realized, but Jose and his crew showed me all the wood siding and wood trim around windows that needed to be replaced and got the job done. The paint job looks great. The house looks great. My new wood pillars look great. He pressure washed my brick walls which was above and beyond what I expected. He removed un-used cable wires that was littering the outside of my house.

Excellent. Jose is a great person to work with. He even installed lights for us in the front of the house at no charge.

Crew arrived on time and went right to work scraping, caulking and painting the exterior trim. They also replaced some rotted wood. They were very careful and cleaned up after they were finished. We also had the siding power washed. The house looks fresh and clean. Jose explained everything they were doing. It was a very professional job at a reasonable price. I would definitely use them again.

I had originally contacted several Angie's List contractors to receive estimates for the exterior painting of my entire house, trim , etc. including some trim and or wood replacement/repair, and the replacement or repair of one door. After calling Jose from MQ Painting on 9/6/16 and leaving a message to set up an appointment, he called back the next day and we set an appointment for him to come out between 9 and 10AM on 9/9/16 to look at the house and provide an estimate. Jose was on time, and seemed knowledgeable and professional as we walked around the house and discussed the job in detail for about 20 minutes. Jose indicated that he would email me a quote for the job within a couple of days. On 9/13/16 I received a quote via email from Jose. I was waiting for 2 additional quotes from other Angies List contractors over the next few days with the intention of choosing one of the 4 or 5 contractors providing quotes to complete the same job. As it turns out, Jose from MQ Painting had the highest of the 4 quotes I had received to date at that time, but Jose was very specific on his quote about what would be completed. There were two issues I had questions on regarding the quote: 1) We had discussed replacing a rear exterior door which was not separately noted on the quote and I was not sure if this was included in the price, and 2) I had discussed with other contractors who were willing to provide a 3 Year Warranty when Jose was providing 2 years. I called Jose on 9/20/16 to discuss some issues and the general timing of the job and work to be performed. Jose was polite and I told him that I would let him know in the next couple of days after considering his answers to my questions. After further reviewing Jose's Angies List reviews and my general impressions of him, I decided that if he would give me a 3 Year Warranty, then I would choose him from the 2 Contractors I had narrowed my choices down to. I called Jose back on 9/22/16 and discussed the Warranty. At first Jose seemed reluctant, but then he agreed to provide a 3 Year Warranty, and he asked that I write down the additional items we discussed, including the 3 yr warranty on his quote and email it back to him with my signature and he would get started on my house within three weeks, or the middle of October at the latest. I emailed him the signed quote with the notes as he instructed on 9/22/16 and have never heard from him since then. On 9/23/16 I sent a follow up email asking Jose to confirm via email that he received the signed quote and that we are in agreement. I also called on 9/23 and left a voice message asking for Jose to call me back. No responses. On 9/24/16 I called Jose 2 times and left 1 additional message for him to call me back. At this point I was not happy about the lack of response. I am also worried that if I do not get this job done, and with fall upon us, that my house will go thru the winter without a fresh coat of paint. Unfortunately still not having heard back from Jose with any confirmation, I sent him an additional email today cancelling his quote. I will need to hire another contractor. This is all quite surprising and unfortunate given the ratings he has received on Angies List, and the amount of time I have spent doing my diligence for this project.

Jose Quintanilla and the team at MQ painting are another example why I value Angie's list. MQ Painting did an amazing job, at a very reasonable price. They group is very hard working, arriving as early as 7am on several days and staying until past 6pm to get the job done. Jose is great to work with. He understood exactly what I needed, and helped me make some decisions on areas I was not certain about. He pointed out some rotted wood I had not seen before, and replaced everything. Additionally, I had promised to cut back some trees on the side of my home which were overgrown and could not be accessed to paint. A work trip came up and I could not get someone to cut the trees in time, so I sent him a message to just skip painting that area since it was not accessible. He sent me a message back offering to cut back the tree's for me so they could paint the area, and didn't even charge additional for this. That is amazing customer service. The team did such a great job I plan to hire them to do my inside and deck without even seeking competitive quotes. It is so refreshing to work with a contractor who stays on schedule, on budget, an effective communicator, and does a fantastic job!
